Hello everyone, I am looking to build my collection. After picking up BMU TDKR I want more. I want to pick up a DC Direct/Collectables Batman but not sure where to start. I like the Bats from the Trinity set as well as the one from Hush. Are there any others I should take a look at before I buy? All ideas and opinions are welcome. Thanks.

Really depends on your tastes. I would Google Image Search DC Direct Batman figures and pick the one you like best. You might also try the DC Directives section of these forums. This is the Mattel section. viewforum.php?f=9

Thanks for the advise. I was just wondering what other people think and was hoping to get some leads.

I like the DC Direct Arkham Asylum Batman from the Video Game lines. I like him so much, I haven't even tried to remove him from his packaging.

I like the Alex Ross one, but I'm a big Ross fan. And a figure based on his art probably won't mesh well with figures from other lines.

There are so many and they are all of such different styles. Go check out Joe's site. It's a great archive od DC Direct: http://www.joeacevedo.com/docs/figurezone/dcdactionfigures2007.htmI happen to love the Trinity Batman you pointed out., nice strong, design. Looks like Matt Wagmer's art? Sure, but that's not a hugely stylized look. I was also a big fan of the Batman & Son figure. (oct 2007) Hush was a littel off to me. It came out with these huge crazy thighs that messed up the proportions to me, and was hard to stand up, and didn't like how wide the cape became at the bottom.

Thanks for the help. Batman and Son is a great figure, but on the $$$ side. Hopefully I'll get lucky and find him cheaper than 50 somewhere.

You have to like that particular, short-lived costume; but the 'Incorporated' Batman is my personal favourite. The sculpt has more detail than usual, and its movement is good. The Hush figure is a nice design, but I find the pin-head slightly off-putting, and it really barely moves.

I've heard from several sources that the Medicom MAFEX Dark Knight Batman figure is the most awesome thing ever. It's 6" scale, comes with a ton of weapons and like 40 something points of articulation. It's expensive, though.

That is a cool figure, but I prefer comic inspired figures. I kind of like Medicom's Amz Spidey but really don't like the costume.
