In talking with a DCC rep at that con that might not be the actual final price for that figure.

Im tempted to do BBTS preorder as I REALLY would like this Darkseid (big fan of the megalomanic!) and $90s a bit hard to palette. Not that $75 is great but obviously better than $90...I hope DCC brings the pricing down. Anyone preordering the whole JL team at BBTS?

I want this. I saw some of the New 52 figures in person at a comic shop, and they look really awesome. So I went and preordered this, along with the We Can Be Heroes 7 pack, and a couple Parademons. Oh man. Jim Lee is one of my favorite artists, so it's nice to be able to get toys representing his art.

got darkseid for $66.00 on amazon with 2 day prime shipping. think it is now at $75 with two left in stock.

did the pre order on the 7 pack for $43.95/prime shipping after a $10 amazon gift card...no clue why it was priced at $53.95 think it is back up to 80ish

then i got 4 parademons new in packages for $66 and free shipping on ebay...some dude had 4 in a buy it now or best offer listing...was asking 24.95 ea. and he accepted my offer of 16.50 each for all four.

all this happened in less than an hour one evening...and i don't even like the new 52 crap.

The sculpt is awesome, but he's way too big for my likes. I haven't read the issue he appears in yet, but do they really draw him as being 12 feet tall? That just seems pretty crazy to me. Honestly, even the CnC Darkseid was a little large for my tastes; I know that "officially" he's supposed to be something like 8 ft tall, but frankly, the vast majority of actual drawings only make him about as tall as Orion or Superman, maybe a bit taller. I really don't see the need to make him an actual giant.

Also, costing 4x as much as the normal characters in the line just feels greedy.

I've done that before. And then when it all arrives, you're thinking, what did I do?

I've sold quite a few figures on eBay after splurging. It's like a binge and purge for toy collectors. :D
