For the last year or so I've been trying to locate the DC Direct JLA box set with the ed benes repaints and not a single online retailer has one anymore. I can't even find them at conventions. What the hell happened? All i want is that batman to use as custom fodder and so far it appears as if I have a better chance at winning the lottery than findng this set.

If you only want Batman, why not just buy him? If you mean the repaints from the Superman/Batman and JLA lines, they made 4: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Flash, but those were single pack figures. I am not aware of a boxed set of these.

I'm not talking about the ed mcguinness figures, I'm talking about the Ed Benes inspired figures. the box set in question that I'm refering to is the 4-pack that came with bronze age batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Green lantern and came with a copy of Justice League of America # 31 (vol.4). The set was actually reviewed here: http://aftimes.blogspot.com/2009/10/dc- ... a-box.html

The Superfly wrote: I never saw that set anywhere. I found one completed auction on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/JUSTICE-LEAGUE- ... 3cc7b22fdeI will keep an eye out for it here around town. I managed to get in touch with a guy on ebay who has a loose batman from the set that he was going to put in an auction sometime later today. I asked if I could see pics and gave him a quote. He has a 100% feedback rating on ebay so I dont think he would try anything shady.

superfriend wrote: Sorry, my bad. I get the names mixed up sometimes. I have the GeoForce from that set on my shelf. What is the advantage of the set over the singles? I think the Batman in the box set had a different paint design than the carded single. Those were great figures. I only picked up the Hal single, and it's one of my absolute favorite figures. I wish I'd gotten all of them.
