OK here goes , Hopefully this hasn't been covered before and I'm going to make everybody go ... sheesh and get pictures of open can of worms , remember I'm new to the board, having just re watched Starcrossed again , has there ever been talk of making the alter ego figures , I know a lot of customizers out there have done this but still just wondering if anybody else would want these, I'm thinking this would have to be like a DC direct thing of sorts because store buyers probably are not going to want to purchase 6 people in street clothes, but I sure would [/b]

Remember that Martian Manhunter 3 pack (3 diff. MM's) I always thought that all of the big 7 should get their own 3 packs. Alter-ego versions would be nice for those 3-packs. It's been said that men in suits don't sell at retail but I think if Mattel made Clark Kent figure it would be a good idea. It would be worth the tooling of a new figure because you could reuse the body for other men in suits like Crimson Avenger or Question or even Bruce Wayne. If a man in suit is part of a 3 pack, I don't think it'll be a peg-warmer. Also, Clark Kent was part of the Super Powers Collection. I'd like to think that'll help get him made.

The idea has been brought up before and Mattel knows that there is interest, but like you said the trick would be more getting them into assortments that retailers would buy into. Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent do have some sales history but the others would probably wouldn't happen. John Jones, maybe, if the body could also be used for the second Crimson Avenger outfit... I agree with Seth! that it would probably work best in a 3 pack with the alter-ego and the re-use of parts would have to be a real selling point... Clark could be a strong contender to get us the Question and the first version of Crimson Avenger, like he said, and also King Faraday maybe even Eiling in his more formal uniform. Personally, I'd like it if they did the Bruce up in the turtleneck/jacket look because they could also use it for Ollie.

I love the three pack idea. I really do think these would sell. I think Mattel would at least go for Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent, because they are very recognizable. Everybody knows who they are. Also, I think the Clark Kent DCSH pack sold pretty well.

I would love a set of the original 7, or at least some of them, in their civilian clothes. Worst case scenario, even a Flash, Batman or Hawkgirl with a civilian head sculpt would be cool.

I would pass on these (probably--but I say that all the time and end up buying them anyway). I'd much rather have new Villains and Heroes rather than Wally West or Diana Prince. Make Masked Avenger and the Question first and then make him into John Jones, to get more mileage out of the sculpt.
As for non costumed figs in general: Amanda Waller (with BFG accessory) is the only one I can think of, off the top of my head, thats a NEED.

Hmm... here are some assortments I'd like to see:
Superman Clark Kent Black Suit Superman (no cape)
Batman Bruce Wayne (suit) Bruce Wayne (training gear)
Wonder Woman Diana Prince Wonder Woman (Themyscira gown)
Flash Wally West Shayera
Green Lantern John Stewart Human form Martian Manhunter

I'd much rather see them in their old west getups.

Always has and always will be a dream for me. Im amazed such an easy and inexpensive route hasnt been taken advantage of. At least Bats and Flash unmasked. A civilian clad WW (repainted Canary bod) would be easy too. A new generic suited male body could get tonz of re-use on figs/characters that would sell. especially within 3pk assortments.
