I just hope it's classic tattered Grundy, and not the more recent suit, combed hair version from the Meltzer JLA arc.
Either way with the 4H behind it, it's gonna rock.

Honestly, I have to see the lineup before I buy anything. As nice as Hal Jordan and Sinestro sound, I really have to see them before plunking down the cash, as I've already bought so many of the DC Direct figures, and I really like those. If Tim Drake and Nightwing have better articulation and sculpt than what was already done, I'll grab 'em. As for Grundy....ehhh, could care less.
So far, I want Grodd, and that's it.
My room-mate, though, wants Metamorpho and Grundy naturally.

Grundy was at the top of my wants list. He's always been a favorite of mine. I'm so glad he's coming. I'm sure the 4 Horseman's version will look so cool!

Grundy's as good a choice for a BAF as any, although I'd like to see a truly massive Doomsday. I felt the first 4H figure, while nicely sculpted, was underwhelming.
As for JLU, I can't wait for after Toy Fair. The rumor mills buzzing and it sounds like we'll be getting at least one more good year of this line.
Speaking of which, when does Grodd hit the streets??

Bah!!! Coming out and saying it outright is no fun. You should have said something like "Here's a hint. He was born on a Monday".
Just enough to make us stew a little.

Brilliant Wave Mattel!
A very minor quibble. Wish we didn't have Tim Drake in this one. Since Nightwing and Hal are both in the lineup, there were more than enough big names. Grundy and Deathstroke also have lots of media exposure and sizeable cult followings. Sinestro is pretty well known and is coming off a huge series. Plus with a Tim Drake figure still available in a lot of places, this may havew been a good opportunity to give us a third or fourth stringer. Or a never before made figure.
Still, an excellent selection Mattel! Keep them coming!

Is it OK if I call the choices for BAF 2 and 3 unispired? Two of the few big guys we have/are getting for JLU are 2 of the 3 first BAFs for the DC comic line?
Color me unimpressed with the character choices.

They're also some of the most wanted large villains in DC Comics library...they're both members of the Legion of Doom, they're both villains...people want to see these characters. I think they're a great idea. Grundy's never had a wide release that I know of, and Grodd's an exclusive...this will be the first mass market figure for both of them.
I think Grundy and Grodd are both great moves.

I don't care if the JLU line already has Grundy and Grodd. They are awesome and popular villains and the 4 Horseman's sculpts rock!
