I think we'd all welcome Wonder Woman...I do think it's telling that with the first three series of DCUC announced, we only have one female character: Harley Quinn. That's 1 out of 18 figures. With odds like that, I think we'll see Diana, but wouldn't be surprised if we don't ever get Cheetah, Giganta, or even Black Canary or Zatanna.

I think as long as they have "nude" body parts, we'll see different women. I think Black Canary's body type will beget lots of other females. I think Wonder Woman is rough because her body can't really be reused if they make her more built. However, they can use it as a base to do more than one Wonder Woman, which if JLU is any indication, we'll see it here.

I think we really have to give the line a chance to prove itself with retailers first, then we can expect more female characters. Marvel Legends started off very, very slow with the women putting most of them into huge boxed sets in the beginning but now I don't think there's been a wave in the past two years that didn't have at least one woman in it, heck, even Mary Jane just got a Legends figure. Harley is a welcome start because she provides a relatively blank body to start from where a new head and some new parts here and there can create a totally new character pretty cheaply. I think that with the exception of Wonder Woman most of the female characters we'll see for the first couple of years will be based off of the Harley, Batgirl and Supergirl bodies. Actually, I can see the Matrix/Earth Angel Supergirl being in a wave late next year or early in '09 just to fill an "S" slot...

They need to fill an "S" spot with Eradicator Supes!

and most boys lines go easy on female figures for the first few waves. We also need to keep in mind the fact that we have already been given two Supergirls, Barbara and Cassie Batgirls and Catwoman. In my mind since Harley has been announced and Wonder Woman is a shoo in for wave four...the next group of women should be pretty fun. I talked to a couple of Mattel folks as well as Cornboy at sdcc and Zatanna was met with a very favorable response when I queried about her...

Zatanna was one of the 7 main characters in the recent Justice League Heroes game so that would make sense as more kids would know who she is.

i never really thought of cyborg as a baf,but it fits with mattel only doing them as 25% bigger right now.
