I like the brightness/color of the packaging. And I'm a person who never saves a scrap of packaging, and notice it even less. The back of the card really pops. It makes me want to collect them all, even if I wouldn't be compelled to do it.

Well, the interview says it takes 6-8 weeks to come up with packaging. I guess they just aren't 'there' yet, and are planning out everything else. I'm not worried.

One thing everyone seems to be overlooking is the fact that the projects he named were projects he was working on. From experience I can tell you most companies that use graphic designers employee several. Entire rooms full of comercial artists, and depending on the size of the company, they may all be working on seperate projects/accounts.

Just because this one guy didn't have anyting dosen't mean the dude in the next cubicle didn't have tons of DCAU material laying around.

They look similar in shape to the Superfriends packages, one step closer to keeping the DC brand unified.

Except that he lists off pretty much every other DC action figure line that Mattel has put out since they acquired the license. He seems to be *the* guy for the DC stuff - so, it was surprising that he didn't mention the "upcoming" DCAU line.

But again, it could just be because that line hasn't been officially announced so he can't talk about it. Or it could be something else. Unfortunately, we won't know anything until we actually get new animated style figures at retail or we don't and are told that the line is dead. But honestly (and I know Toy Guru just gave us what amounted to good news... technically) retailers have a really short memory and attention span - and that's just not good for JLU right now.

No, no, no... I get that on the package, but there isn't a photo of the back of the card (anymore) and in its place is a photo of a mummy sculpture of some sort...

Not sure why that is there, but just to let you guys know for those who don't know what it is, it's from an upcoming Spawn line:

It's called the Soldier of Ra.
