Sorry if this has been answered or brought up recently but has their been any news on whether or not they are going to do legion of super hero figures based off the cartoon ?

And on a related note did they ever mention if they are going to do DC Classics Legion figures that would be sweet too !

I'm not optimistic about the Legion of Superheroes toy line because The CW announced they are ending the Kids WB block beginning September 2008. I have no idea if this bolds ill for future LOSH seasons, but it's not a good sign if there are not enough advertising dollars for the network to pay for original animation. The retailers may not pick up the LOSH line if the TV support disappears.

Regardless of that, especially since the show was redesigned somewhat, the option will always be there to fold Legion characters into the DCAU line (if that ever surfaces at all).

I think it's too late right now for the line to start. These figures should have been on the pegs when the first season started.

I dont see why it's too late to start this line. It's a pretty good show and it's actually better this year than last (nice mix of the Imperious arc and standalone shows that intro new characters). I'd love to see them in plastic. The show's look doesnt quite vibe with the Timm style but it maybe close enough so that it could be folded into the DCAU line.

Has the new redesign that was shown before taken effect yet? Is that what the new eps are, with the clone Superman and all that?

Yup. Starting the weekend of September 22, it's been all the redesigned stuff. I've liked it, although the big bad guy is underwhelming. They've done some good stuff, and featured more Legionnaires than last season.

Cool. That gives me something to d/l and watch tonight.
