I'm talking about the Toys 'R' Us exclusive that was supposed to feature Batman with the black cloth cape. There have been some reports that the Nightwing set was actually a mislabeling of the blue Robin set, but I've also seen reports that contradict that.
Can anyone confirm whether or not these figures actually exist? I've seen both of the Robin sets, but have yet to see the Nightwing version anywhere.

I thought Mattel said they were supposed to be released late this year, but I haven't heard of anybody seeing them.

The idea that the blue Robin set was actually the Nightwing was nothing but speculation on the part of collectors trying to explain why it Nightwing wasn't out. At Comic-Con, Mattel said that the blue Robin was a variant of the regular Robin set, and that the Nightwing set hadn't been relesed yet.
It's truly amazing how unfounded rumor quickly becomes fact.
(Please note this ins't directed at you, KSwolf, but rather at collectors who make unfounded statements.)

Actually, IIRC, the confusion stemmed from the fact that TRU.com had both the Bats/Robin and Bats/Nightwing sets listed. Someone somewhere ordered both and the blue Robin set came instead of the Nightwing set. I could be having a senior moment, but that's what I recall.

I think you may be right there. I, too, seem to recall a mix-up on TRU's website. However, that shouldn't be taken to mean that the blue Robin replaced Nightwing, just that TRU confused the two.

Thanks for the clarification folks. Any word on when the Nightwing set will actually be released? My Google searches have turned up absolutely no information.
