Of course, Black Adam. This is the only villain who can match Superman, Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman. (I consider Darkseid and Despero more than a match for the three.

On the poll, I picked Captain Cold, but I'd really also love a 4-Horsemen The Shade.

Captain Cold gets my vote with the Riddler being a close 2nd. I'm hoping we will get all 13 members of the original Legion of Doom in this line.

Same here. That goal probably drives all of my villain-voting in these polls. And my toy-buying. They're doing well so far...Cheetah and Giganta will be the ones that are the deal-breakers. Darn girls.

I'd like to openly place a vote AGAINST having certain characters made. Why? The backstory of them.

Dr. Light has in the past few years been 'revised' to be guilty of a crime I wish they had never shown in comics.

Major Force had a way of killing I just found too offensive.

And there was a Superman villain whose name escapes me who only killed people who were not white - BloodSport?

Mattel, if you are reading this, I will NEVER buy a figure of those characters.

:( :( :(

I voted for Captain Cold. I'd also love to see Black Adam, Riddler, Copperhead, Rag Doll, and a new Joker.

Understand your position SF, but that's what makes them villains. Almost every one of the above mentioned have done something just as bad.

Captain Cold? Murderer - multiple frozen victims that he's been shown smashing.

Deadshot? Assasin

Captain Nazi? Racist & White supremacist - Attacked the Heywood family, multiple murders

Toyman? Ugh. I can't even list it.

Zsasz? Serial killer

My point is that if you exclude all the horrible villains, there's not too many left. I completely 100% support your right to not buy them. Heck, there are some I won't buy myself. Just want to note that that's what makes them compelling villains.

You're gonna boycott a figure of a character that's been around for nearly fifty years because of one dumbass story?

Sorry. I didn't know this was just a male villain poll.

Thanks for the perspective. Its the fact that it is so ingraiend to current continuity that continues to floor me.

Identity Crisis was sold as a 'stand alone' story.
yet,
In its pages Firestorm died, retrocatively explaining the new Firestorm.
JLA 115-119 was a direct follow up.
Meltzer refers to it in his story JLofA 1-6
52 definitely followed up on it.
McDuffie reminds us of it again in JLofA 13-14

That stupid story broke the greatness of the Satellite team in current continuity sewing a split in its ranks.
I wish it had never been written.

Yeah, I'll protest that story and anything related to it every chance I can.
(until someone changes continuity again and removes it).

Current DC mega stories disappoint me on a regular basis.

I guess my point belongs more in a comix forum that here. Until recently, there were a lot of DCU villains who were NOT guilty of horrible crimes. Flash's rogues for example were mostly thieves. Its only the current thinktank at DC who feels their villainy must be pumped up to make the threats worth of superheroic intervention.

I think I'll move back to the 70's. When Dr. Light was just another JLoA villain. who almost beat the team. by himself.
