MATTEL: The reason Robin is a bit large is simple- design logistics. If he was made in accurate scale to the show, there would not be enough plastic in his legs to hold up his body! Therefore adjustments were made.

...and since when did Mattel care if an action figure could stand up or not?

Maybe with JLU, but we finally got pegholes in the feet of DCUC figs. And they stand pretty well even without a display stand.

I will say that at SDCC last year the Mattel panel explained their side of the story in regards to the Robin scale issue and it made a lot of sense. Bases on his proportion to Batman his legs are sooooo spindly and his torso is larger than his legs,to do it in the proper scale and still give him articulation he was produced out of scale.

It made a lot of sense and I was able to "let it go"...

Scroll down the Mattel Q&A after the DCUC Blueperman review. Answer for #2 really intrigues me: SDCC exclusive will be a new figure of an alien character.

This is old news. TG said in his recent post that they wouldn't be revealing anything new for DCUC at Toy Fair.

Toy Fair isn't that big a deal anymore.

From AFT's Q&A:

5. We know Toy Fair is just around the corner, any chance of a sneak peek? ;)

A: We can reveal that while we will not be showing all of Wave 4 of the DCUC at NYTF we will be revealing the major character from this wave in 2-up form.

I love this answer:

SuperHeroTimes.com: What other JLA characters will be joining the currently released figures in the stylized "The Batman" line?
Mattel: Superman, Martian Manhunter, Flash, Green Lantern and Hawkman will join The Batman line this spring.

I can't wait until spring!!!
