some color images of the new TF Classics up at WizardU:
http://www.wizarduniverse.com/021508nytftransprev.html
From the Hasbro panel:
TF Animated
- Notable figures on display include Soundwave, Earth Mode Megatron & Blackarachnia
- Soundwave has a guitar that transforms into Laserbeak.
- The team has shown off the Jazz figure, which is very sharp-looking like a Japanese race car.
"Transformers" and "Transformers 2"
The Hasbro design team has been working with Paramount on "Transformers 2" designs for weeks now. The designs are currently under review by Takara/Tomy.
TF Masterpiece
Hasbro likes the Masterpiece molds like the jet, but nothing is planned as of yet.
Alternators
The company is currently trying to figure out a way to get the Alternators line out there again, but haven't pinned down how or yet at this point.
Transformers Crossovers
Star Wars Transformers and Marvel Transformers line will merge into a single line called "Transformers Crossovers". With this, Hasbro has confirmed the existence of the Marvel Transformers line, despite the fact that the figures were shown at the UK Toy Fair earlier this month.

There are a BUTTLOAD of pics out there at other sites. Including some figs, heck even characters, that we've NEVER seen.
Classics were a little disappointing to me, specifically Galvatron.

What about Galvatron? I didn't see anything about a Classics Galvatron. What did I miss?

I loved all the Classics! I think I'll be getting all of them as well as most of the Animated and the Robot Heroes. I really want the animated Slag, Blackarachnia, Starscream and Leader class Bulkhead!
Chris1973, they have pics of Classics Galvatron at tformers.com

Found'em, thanks!
He's only a deluxe, how odd. So Classics Megatron gets 'upgraded' from a Voyager to a Deluxe.
Looks great though, and of course I'll get at least one.

I'm trying not to be a whiner but Galvatron being a Deluxe is insanely ridiculous. I mean, Sunstreaker is TALLER than he is!!
I'm not a Powerglide fan either.
I like some of the others, but I LOVE all of the Animated toys. I think I'll just stick with the Animated line for the sake of my wallet. I can't buy EVERYTHING.

I really want to get back into TF after a hiatus after the demise of Alternators, but crap like deluxe Galvatron ;Ultra Powerglide ; deluxe Octane(?)is ruining it for me. I am "scale aware" so perhaps TF isn't the line for me?? What else is there for a wannabe TF collector who is also "scale aware"??(not scale nazi mind you).
That Sunstreaker and Prowl looked sweet though. At least G1 Robot Heroes is continuing.

Hey Grouch, I've slowly been buying some new TFs after not buying any since G1. I was really pleased with the Classics and many of the Titaniums. Between the two, I've got a fairly decent "pre-Earth" and "post Earth crash" shelf. The scale of the characters isn't 100% perfect, but it's not far off.
Of course Titaiums are gone now, sadly, but I'lm looking forward to the continuation of Classics. The size of Powerglide (and the fact he's painted white and not all red) has me thrown a bit, but that's the only hiccup I see so far.
I'm on the fence about the new animated stuff. The character designs have really gown on me, but the show stinks more which each new episode.
I suppose if you're a real stickler about scale, the only option is to find Alternators on the secondary market. (I had most, and sold them after the line got out of hand with repaints.)
C.

I think there may still be a 2-pack of Robot Heroes MIA. The next wave (already announced) is Cheetor/Blackarachnia, Rattrap/Megatron, Hound/Blitzwing and Sunstreaker/Galvatron.
They're showing Optimus Primal, Rhinox, Waspinator and Tarantulas, plus Arcee and Rumble (or Frenzy, depending on where you stand on that issue!)...looks to me that there'll probably be one more set of G1 characters in the wave after next.
