Does anyone know if Bandai is at this years toy fair and if so what day is their booth going to be open? I looked around and I couldn't find much info on Bandai's schedule. I'm really dying to see Bandai's Dragon Ball assortment.

Hey everyone,
I'm not sure if anyone else is interested but check out ASM's coverage of Toy Fairfor some new Dragon Ball Z images as well as other Bandai products. This is the only site on the net that I've seen have these DBZ press images. Although there wasn't much shown, I'm very excited about Bandai's new DBZ line for the upcoming year. The figures look great!
There's also some Ben 10 for you, superfriend. I don't collect the line but a lot of the creatures do look pretty cool.

Hmmmm.
Some of those figures look similiar to the Hybrid Action line, but with less arm articulation. Odd. Wonder if these figures are to scale with Hybrid Action?
I'm curious to see what Bandai USA does with DBZ.
Jeff

Yes, they definitely look similar to the Hybrid figures. I'm almost positive that they are the same scale as the hybrids and that they would likely mix with them seamlessly. I'm a little surprised that Bandai didn't just import the Hybrid figures instead of sculpting all new "American Hybrid figures", especially since they're making essentially the same characters so far...
I'll try to put together a mock comparison of these and the Hybrids later.
BTW Jeff I guess this means your a Dragon Ball fan, eh? It's always nice meeting a fellow Dragon Ball collector.

I enjoyed the manga, but not-so-much the anime. I love Akira Toriyama's character designs and artwork.
I've got a bunch of the Irwin and Jakks 5" figs, and am looking forward to what Bandai might do.
I bought Hybrid Action Goku and Piccolo off eBay from Hong Kong, but it seems they may have gotten lost between Hong Kong and here :-(

I was really hoping Bandai would reveal more classic PR figures.
I'd love a boxset of the original team.

I was looking at the Ben 10 gallery. I think that new omnimatrix watch which you seem to attach clear figurines to which makes them glow green in 3D looks pretty cool. Not that I could wear it anywhere, but the concept is cool.
Dick Tracy, watch out.

Yeah, the anime does seem to drag a little. It's mostly because of the added and often contradictory filler scenes in addition to the really bad animation days. If you haven't already, you should definitely check out both Kanzentai.comand daizex.com. In fact, over at Kanzentai they recently translated all of Daizenshuu 1, which is essentially a comprehensive Toriyama art book.
Oh and here's that mock comparison I promised. Japanese Hybrids on the left and American Hybrids on the right.

Personally, I like all of them. I guess that means Bandai gets double my money for essentially the same toys. Oh well, 'tis the life of a toy collector.
