I found a few remnants of these in a box the other night, who else had these? Very cool, very fun line of figures. I remember getting the Hive playset on clearance for like $15 at a local toy store.
Time to hit ebay for some figures...

Nothing better than rummaging through old toy boxes and finding bits and pieces of vintage gold. How 'bout a pic?

Used to trade Star Wars toys with a guy whose wife worked at Coleco doing packaging art during the Sectuar days. When the company folded she ended up with a set of the prototypes for the unreleased third series. If I'm remembering the story correctly he traded them to a pro toy sculptor to make custom action figures of him and his wife as Ghostbusters. I'll have to see if I can get in touch with him and see how that all turned out...

Back in '85 or so, some friends of mine in school were into Sectaurs and wanted to form a club but they never quite got around to it.
I like how the figures blend in nicely with modern stuff such as Marvel Legends. It's too bad that the line tanked, it had a comic book to go with it and everything. Easily one of Coleco's best efforts in the action figure department.

I've been searching for the Hive playset for years! I've found it a few times but a 400 dollar price tag is a bit much.

here's my small collection: I pick them up here and there when I find them... It's one of those collections I'm not ready to invest too much money yet. @PBateman I've also got some spare parts in my shop if you're intrested! http://scar1321.blujay.com

I remember staring longingly on these on my local toystore shelves back when I was a kid, but I never ended up buying any because I had no money back then! They were a cool idea, though. And subconsciously probably got me to start buying the insect Beastwars figures about a decade later.

I've seen it bring 132.00 recently. I use to own it as a kid, I loved it!

I remember having a few Sectaurs pieces as a kid. I had Skulk and the Trancula hand puppet which were given to me by a cousin (oh how I miss that Trancula!), and I had the accessory bugs Toxid, Raplor and Bitaur; which were flea market finds. I had no idea what toy line they were from though, back in the day. I have no idea what happened to them. Seems like I ended up leaving the Trancula out in the rain, which more or less caused it to disintegrate, unfortunately. I'd like to find another Skulk and Trancula, now that I'm thinking about them.
