I don't usually collect die-cast, but couldn't pass up the recent 1:50 Batmobile series (sadly, I was pretty broke when Corgi was releasing their line).
Has there been any word on a second series?
Thanks!
Jeff

I don't know, but I missed them all too. Although I only have one of the new Hot Wheels Batmobiles, it's pretty sweet, and I'll be attempting to get the rest of them!

I picked up the Tumbler and the Adam West Batmobile. I plan on getting the other two just to finish up the ones I'm missing. I have all but one of the Corgi 1:43 scale Batmobiles and these are fairly close in size to them. SO i plan on eventually displaying them all together.
I hope they come out with some more. There are still plenty of great versions of the Batmobile that hasn't been produced.

Yes, there will be more.
For sure there will be a Batboat, and a redone '66 Batmobile w/a trailer hitch. There was also some talk about the '66 Batplane. Mattel has the Master License for longer than 2 years now.. Batboat should be available around January to Feb. 2009 according to reports.
I also seem to recall some talk about Mattel putting out some other versions of the Batmobile (similar to what Corgi did). Not sure which ones though. But more are coming.

Yes there will be more. You can still find the old series at walmart and TRU but finding the main ones like 66 batmobile, bat cycle is hit or miss. Although they are releasing again in case packs that have some amount of the cars below between October 2008 and March 2009
Okay so what's coming
Tumbler camouflage version (which is pointless since its not a bat car until the black tumbler)
Superfriends
'89 Keaton batmobile
Batboat with trailer
'66 batmobile with trailer hitch
All mixed in with the first crs- '66 batmobile regular, batcycle, comic book, animated and black tumbler.
Releasing in various case packs from October 2008 to March 2009

Are these part of the $1 Hot Wheel assortments that you can find on the pegs now? I've been looking, so should I be able to get them now? I really want the animated series Batmobile and Nolan Batmobile.

I think the Batmobile from Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns would be great in this line, as would a TNBA/JLU Batmobile.

No, these are larger and more expensive ($5.99ish) and have Batman themed packaging.
BTW, thanks for the info on upcoming releases, folks. Glad to hear there are more coming!

If they make a TNBA/JLU batmobile, I'll switch from collecting 1:64 batmobiles and collect these.

These are so hard to find, I've yet to even see the Tumbler.

Not sure how much longer they'll carry them (I guess until supply runs out...), but Walgreens still has the Corgis (at least around these parts).

I finally found one of these, the B:TAS one, and oddly enough, it was just sitting there on top of some other car sets and there weren't any other Batman Hot Wheels anywhere to be seen. I'm pretty damn happy though.
