For those of you with KB Toys, I went to one close by looking for DCUC. While they did not have DCUC at all, to my surprise, they had about three full pegs of Blue carded JLU three packs for $9.98. they had: Hawkgirl/Batman/Elongated Man, Dr. Fate/Flash/Green Arrow, and Superman/Brainiac/Martian Manhunter. I picked up the Dr. Fate/Flash/GA for customs. Of interesting to note is that all of the 'big 7' Figures were 5 POA. I thought that was a little odd. I didn't think they were this way when they originally came out.
I also managed to pick up the Hotwheels Animated Batmobile and the '66 TV Series Batcycle. This was great, as I never saw them at WM.

I've seen that too. Those would be great starter sets for those trying to get into JLU.

Very cool. Now more people can start collecting JLU and maybe the line can last longer.

KB got a run of these earlier this year. We talked about it here.
However, those that showed up then had the 10-POA versions, so the ones you found would appear to be from a newer run. That would make them the third versions of these particular 3-packs.

Weird. I don't get this. This means that they are making new production runs of these old packs/figures? I bought the one with Martian Manhunter and the paint on him is quite different from the original figs of that version. If it is that easy to cook up the old figs/packaging, why is it so hard to give KB a bunch of the ones people never found? (barda, etc)

My thoughts exactly! Seems like a waste of some nice new packs to get a bunch of pretty common figures.

I was one of the first ones to notice that older JLU 3-packs and DC Direct figures were starting to pop up in KB stores a while back but I stopped at one today and noticed something different:
* JLU 3-pack with Hawkgirl, Batman, Elongated Man
* JLU 3-pack with Superman with 2 other
I had to do a double take because something looked off about the Batman and Superman figures. They were 5 POA. Weren't they 9 POA in the original releases?

saw these today...
walked around with the Batman/HG/Elongated Man & Flash/Dr. Fate/Green Arrow packs for about 10 min, and then put them back... maybe I will go back and get them now...

I've noticed the 5POA on these too?I wonder what they'll do for Aquaman if they cary the pack with him in it since he was never made with 5POA.I'd probably pick that one up even though I stopped collecting JLU since DCUC came out.
