How about mini "sidekick" figures!

I know there is still a slew of oversized characters we all want to see, but it would be fun to switch it up for one wave and try something new...

Golden Age Batman with mini Bat Mite
Beast Boy with greem animal (monkey, kangaroo, whatever)
Brainiac 5 with KoKo
Salaak with Ch'p
Blue Devil with Detective Chimp
Cheetah with Doctor Psycho
Elongated Man with Mini Atom
Uncle Sam with Doll Man or Doll Girl
Rocket Red with Blue Jay
Hawk OR Dove with Mini Bumblebee
Psimon with Gizmo
Wildfire with Gates
Mon El with Quislet
Kyle Raynor with Guardian of Oa
Klarion the Witch Boy with Teekl
Kon El with Krypto
Martian Manhunter with Starro
and.. ANY of these guys: Monsieur Mallah, Warp, Houngan, Phobia or Plasmus (All of them look SUPER cool) with The Brain....

Would anyone else like to see these?

Maybe they could be some sort of Matty Collector boxed set...

I would love some of these characters and they may be too little to sell on their own...

This idea requires looking back at the reason for Build A Figures (BAF) being first implemented in the Toy Biz Marvel Legends line, to encourage sell through of all characters in a wave. Including one piece of an extra figure encouraged people to pick up the rest of a wave even if they were not wild about the obscure character in a wave to complete the BAF.

That is still a valid marketing technique to allow more obscure characters into the current Hasbro Marvel Legends and Mattel DCUC lines. Putting something else in one figure would eliminate that reason for a collector to get that one figure if they were not interested in buying it.

I think this is an excellent idea for JLU, I think it'd boost single pack sales, even for figures we already have... Getting Krypto would def get me to buy yet another Superman, getting Bat-mite would get me to buy yet another Batman...
Or they could make a sidekick pack exclusive on Mattycollector.com

This is a topic that I think should keep getting brought up and not let go of until it happens...

How about this for a different option?... What about having a wave of nothing but small figures like Mxy and Bat-Mite but packing them with pieces to a HUGE C&C? Not sure *who* the C&C could be since the character should have some sort of recognition beyond the hard-core fans but I think it would be a better option than the way Hasbro dealt with the Hulk/Foom waves.

That is a really funny and original idea. I kind of like it in fact. Can't see it happening, but I award lots of props to you. Invest most of the money in the wave to the BAF and sell little characters. Great!
