2009 JLU Poll Results.
126 votes.
20% = 25.2 votes 10% = 12.6 votes. 5% = 6.3 votes.
So if a character got more that 25 votes, 20% of us voted for them. Not bad. Characters who got less than 5% of the vote were dropped off. Characters who got at least 3 votes are listed in follow up posts.

Thanks for getting the results up so quickly. I thought Robin had more votes than that but still a pretty good representation. I really like the results for the male heroes though, except for the 23 wasted votes on Mr. Terrific.
Who voted Lobo as a hero though? I hope he ranks higher with the villains.

There are NO wasted votes. I think all the votes for Mr. Terrific, Hourman, and I expect Supergirl were made before we knew. My bet is that only a few of us went back and changed our votes. I was disappointed at the poor performance by Firestorm, but I think again, that people are expecting him.
Lobo - served as a temp JL member in JL ?

First off, thanks Superfriend for getting the first part of the results up so quickly.
Second, Mr Terrific came along pretty late. We didn't see him until the poll had been running for some time. The funny part for me was the 11 votes for Hourman who we'd already seen and 7 for Firestorm who'd been previewed lol. I'm sure there were valid reasons, but it just seems odd.
The top 10 though don't really surprise me all that much. Good to see that even though the rest of the field was all over the place, those didn't change all that much.

I'm expecting Firestorm or I would have included him somewhere.
I'm interested to see the top 10 overall votes because I saw some people voting for people in that category that they didn't vote for in the others.

NoisyDvL5 is doing the Top 5 females.
I'm saving the top 10 overall for Chip. He's done the heavy lifting in terms of counting most of the categories in the prior JLU polls I've run.

superfriend wrote: Awesome job. Thanks. No problem! I was thinking next time there's a poll people might be asked not to put bullet points or numbers in front of their picks (I put dashes in mine ). That way after some simple copy/paste and some name formatting Excel will do most of the work. Having to delete the numbers and dashes took the longest. It was fun though! superfriend wrote: No one got between 35 and 18 votes? That is a HUGE drop off of demand right there! Removing the Adult Supergirl, there was a pretty clear Top 5. j1h15233 wrote: My female votes didn't do so hot. Not much love for Tsukuri I was surprised by that. When I was putting them into Excel, I thought I ran across her name a lot more than that. I think it just stuck out. jzachery wrote: superfriend wrote: NoisyDvL5 is doing the Top 5 females. individually or all at the same time?
Hmm... Killer Frost, Gypsy, Granny Goodness, Livewire, Circe...
Icicled, Ed Asnered, Electrocuted, turned into a pig....
How about Cindy first and then we make a quick exit???

I'm really surprised Circe got so many votes too. I guess people want to put her next to that little pig.

Noisy did exactly the same thing I did - Excel is wonderful isn't it? I'd have been finished sooner if the wife didn't say something about needing gas and being stranded and axe murderers. Wimp.
Would like to second the thing about no bullets or numbers before each character. I'd have been finished much sooner. Not a huge deal, just a suggestion.
The villains had 618 votes (someone only voted for 3) for 109 different characters. Here are the final numbers for everyone that had 3 votes or more. But not nearly as much variety for the top vote-getters. We know what we want for villains - huge dropoff here too.
64 Kalibak
61 Toyman (JLU)
58 Vandal Savage
53 Captain Cold
26 Captain Boomerang
23 Mongul
20 Clayface
19 Parademon
15 Desaad
15 Felix Faust
15 Metallo
14 Deathstroke
14 Trickster
13 Despero
12 Lobo
10 Dr. Destiny
10 Manhunter Robots
9 Heatwave
8 Catman
6 Ares
6 Eclipso
6 Riddler (BTAS)
5 Brainithor (JLU Gold armor version)
5 Chronos
5 Mr. Mxyzptlk
4 Brainiac (Super Powers)
4 Riddler (TNBA)
4 Steppenwolf
3 Black Manta
3 Blight
3 Evil Star
3 Firefly
3 Goldface
3 Owlman
3 Ra's Al Ghul
3 The General

Very very disappointed in the votes for Mongul, Despero and Lobo. I think Mongul and Despero are glaring omissions from JL. Hopefully people assumed Lobo would be coming sometime next year and left him off and I think Captain Cold probably got a boost from his DCUC figure.
On the bright side though, Kalibak made it up there (which is why I didn't vote for him), Vandal Savage came in strong, and Riddler BTAS got more than my vote
