Y'know, the Punisher is a character I never really cared all that much for unless written by Garth Ennis. Conway, Baron, Dixon ... I never liked their version of ol' Frank.

That's why, to me, one of the biggest surprises of this year's Toy Fair is the Punisher/Jigsaw two-pack. Surprising because I wasn't expecting it and surprising because I really like it.

I think Falcada and company nailed the 70's look of this character. The sideburns, the male-pattern baldness, the arched-eyebrows and the Marlon Brando jowls ... he looks like he was designed by Ross Andru.

I love that we got the brainwashed Mike Zeck Jigsaw as well.

Seriously, now that we have Captain Marvel, Dracula, and now FA Punisher the only names on my must-have mls are Nova and Adam Warlock.

Agreed, they both look fantastic!!

bluesparrow - those are two of my remaining wants as well, along with Sunfire, Black Knight and the Thunderbolts.

Heh. Just the opposite here, Mike. I've always preferred the more mainstream version of the character over the more over-the-top Ennis stuff (I prefer my comics sans F-bombs, personally).

So...I'm REALLY excited about this Puniisher figure!

Man...I really, really, REALLY need a job and soon!

I can't wait for this version of The Punisher either. And the best thing is that it won't completely deshelf the first ML Punisher; they are different enough to find their own shelf space. Too bad we aren't getting a Jackal. I always thought Carron (or however you spell his name) would have been a nice, distinct character to be made too... ah, the Spider-Man glory days!

Carrion would look great IMO. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I always thought Cardiac would lok pretty nice in the ML treatment.

I never much cared for Frank, either, but I picked up that comic (ASM 129) on my birthday way back when.

Stayed i pretty good shape, too, until it became the point of a fight with my brother and lost it's cover. Then dad made me write my name on the top of the first page.

Looking back, he probably wanted it because Punny was riding the Hot List even back then.

and did it seriously hit $1000 at one point like "Coyote Ugly" claims? I'm thinking N. O.
