My concern for this line in the near future is mostly the Waller/Blackhawk wave... I actually think the Blackhawk pack MIGHT sell ok because he comes with Superman and Wonder Woman, and the general public will grab that. I want Waller, I love Waller, but who's gonna want the fat lady in a business suite and the old man that come with Batman, while Batman is sitting on the pegs next to it in a single for 5 bucks?
Who's to say that singles will actually be back on Target's planogram?
Assuming that they do, however, that single packed Bats will sell out long before the 3 packs leaving buyers no choice but to buy Waller/Eiling/Batman.

Hello all
JUST got back from a morning toy run and I am happy/sad/confused to say that of the 2 Targets I visited, neither had JLU on clearance.
I checked the tags, scanned the figures, even asked some associates to verify...
in my neck of the woods, JLU is not on clearance.
...yet anyway.

Everytime I hear about "The end of the JLU line" I think back to 2006, when the line was pronounced "dead" every week. I've learned since then that JLU will be dead when Mattel announces it is dead.

I would have to guess that with the new 6 packs revealed that
a) only single packs are affected by this
b) JLU as a line still has plenty of support behind it.
Seriously looking forward to seeing what Mattel has to show for this line at SDCC.

JLU is not going anywhere. They use the same Body Bucks over and over and over again with little retooling. They have the whole DC Universe of characters to choose from, with still plenty of them never having been made into a figure yet. So why would the kill this line?
Even if Target drops the line they can find another exclusive retailer or sell them on MattyCollector, so this line is good to go for awhile.

What would help increase sales for JLU toys, is to have Mattel convince Cartoon Network to air JL/JLU again (that would be better than the current live action crap they have now.)

Cartoon Network has ALL CRAP! Seriously, the only animated stuff worthy of attention these days is basically anything derived from Bruce Timm, and the new Wolverine and the X-men, and Brave and the Bold. Cartoon Network should have done more seasons or Justice League or a spin off or something.

Yep, the ONLY cartoons I watch nowadays is Brave and the Bold and Wolverine and the X Men. I remember I used to sit in front of Cartoon Network for hours on end, not anymore.

I don't think DCIH singles are going on clearance. Maybe your store just accidentally thought they were the same as JLU singles and put the clearance tags on them.
Target is putting an amazing amount of action figures on clearance right now though. More than I've ever seen at once outside of post-Christmas. It seems like somewhere between 2/3rds of an aisle side to a full aisle side's worth of stuff. It's hard to believe they'll be enough Joe movie stuff to replace all this space, especially since all the current Joe stuff itself is itself going away. Here's all the stuff I've seen or heard of being clearanced right now (ones I haven't noticed personally yet are marked as reportedly).
All 25AC Joe except Combat Heroes
JLU singles
DCIH 3-packs
DC Super Friends
BatB Batman vs. Alien (which means no BatB Grodd for Target)
Star Wars Evolutions
Star Wars Unleashed Minis
Star Wars Mighty Muggs
Star Wars Ultimate Lightsaber
Spider-Man Classics figure assortment
Marvel Mighty Muggs
Wolverine Superhero Squad packs (reportedly)
Terminator stuff (reportedly)
WWE stuff (reportedly)
And the new stuff I'm aware of that might be coming to replace it:
Joe movie
JLU 6-packs
Star Wars Turbo Tank
Star Wars mini-vehicle/figure packs
Transformers Fallen repaint exclusive
Transformers Human Alliance
That crappy hamster movie toy line that TRU recently got in
Maybe 25%-33% of that space could be filled in by the non-Joe stuff. I heard somewhere Target is trying to be "Joe headquarters" for the movie. Add in all this aisle space to whatever endcaps they do and I guess they really mean it.
