Okay so I just bought an old The Batman Bane figure, and while I think he is the Bee's Knee's, I hate his action feature, and how I can't pose his arms, so I was wondering if anyone here knows if the 10 inch one Mattel released awhile back was any different, was he poseable? and does anyone know where can I find him? cause I can't seem to find any info about him anywhere,
thanks,
D.

Never officially released in the U.S. I bought a loose one from overseas. He's in a box right now, so I can't check to be sure, but I don't recall him having any extra articulation. He was just bigger.

Like Casimir said, the 10 inch Bane was never released despite being shown on the card backs. I also bought a proto overseas version. It is a really nice figure and it is actually in scale unlike the puny original one. As for the action feature question, I'm pretty sure he does have some sort of action feature. The figure is currently not within reach so I'm not positive but I believe he had some sort of twist and punch action. Here are some pics I took awhile back:

Thank-you kind sirs, now if only I can find him for a decent price,
D.

Sadly, I think you're too late. I really wanted one, and looked and looked for a long time (I still search for it occasionally), but I never found one for sale at any price. Very frustrating.

Sorry to bump a VERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYY old thread, but I just scored a 10" Bane this week!! I had given up hope of ever finding this piece to complete my collection and happened across one of the prototypes on ebay. It's an unpainted (gray) figure, but I can easily take care of that. I've managed to track down other rare pieces long ago, such as the Batman-to-Batbot (European release) and the Clayface with Ethan Bennett head. I rarely ever see these pieces on ebay and don't see a lot about either of them on the internet at all. Can't wait to get Bane in the mail.

Quote: I just scored a 10" Bane this week!! I'm jealous. I always wanted one, but originally I assumed he'd get released here. Once it was clear that would never happen, it was too late to do much of anything about it.

Once it was clear that would never happen, it was too late to do much of anything about it. I'll post some pics of him this week. He's all gray (not painted) but wow, he's a nice figure. I'm seriously thinking about disassembling him to mold/cast it. I'll let ya know how that progresses!! I got it for $39.99 shipped. I really thought I'd get outbid, but I was the only bidder. I had stopped searching for him a long time ago, but was searching "batman prototypes" on ebay and boom...there he was! I was shocked!!!

Nice price. If you can cast it, I'll buy one from you. Guaranteed.
