I picked these up two weeks ago....The dealer had several sets so who knows what happend or how that hurts the release date.
Here are some quick pics

The sculpts are AMAZING! The paint apps not so much. Yellow seems to be a difficult color to handle on dark bases for mattel. As you can see, It really shows it's weakness here.

Green shield comes from Kenner's Parallax figure as far as I can tell.

The shield came from the Total Justice line..The ax is from the Power Ranger deluxe figures. They have clear weapons for all colors of the rangers which work well with DCUC.

The figures are awesome, the paint is jsut a little dim just like on the DCUC Yellow sinestro.

Just going off the massive buzz The Blackest Night storyline has generated and noting the fact the DC Directs first wave is officially sold out at Diamond...I am VERY tempted to predict that this Color of Fear 2 pack may be the second SELL OUT for DCUC 2 packs...

Care to try a head swap on Sinestro and Fish/Bird Guy?

If it works well, I'll get the 2 pack--otherwise forget it.

I'm sure a lot of people are waiting to see if Sinestro's dwarfism can be cured this way.

I think Mattel will fix that one day for us.

I don't know.

DC has like 11 million characters, and they already did two versions of Sinestro.

I think the line might need to last for ten years before we see another.

Besides, I don't like counting on the same people who effed it up the first time to fix it the second go round.

They might give us a 9 inch BAF, Zebra variant. Shocked

They KNOW that one is messed up though. For a line that has been pretty good with scale issues, that Sinestro is the black eye. Besides with all the GL hype, it couldn't hurt them to have another one out there and then we could all hack up the old one and put a new head on there.

Great figures. I'm excited to see Mattel working with DC with regards to current comic storylines. Geoff John's "Sinestro Corps War" from 2 years ago and his current "Blackest Night" are becoming recognized as the greatest comic events of the decade.

The Four Horsemen did fantastic work on these Sinestro Corpsmen.

Those are awesome. They really did a great job with almost everything (but Sinestro's height, like others have mentioned). I don't get why they used that buck...I see what you mean with the paint too. Seems like the black is showing through on the edges, and Romat Ru is a lighter yellow than Sinestro, on his chest at least...

(on a similar note, the upcoming Kryb figure looks so flippin evil....)
