Mattel did reuse Bat Signal BATMAN for the Batman figure in DCSH Series 1, except for some reason the DCSH version did not get the cloth cape or the ball joint head and it tends to look hunched over. They also reused it again in the TRU 2 packs with Robin and Nightwing, although I never saw the Batman Nightwing set.

Armor Attack BATMAN also from BATMAN: Deluxe (Wave 6) was never reused, just as well since it had a small head compared to the body. Attack Armor Batman was a Justice League: Series 2 figure.

Yes that would be perfect for a boxed set or something.

Maybe Mattel can do an DCUC Commissioner Gordon exclusive for SDCC and give the Bat Signal away for convention attendees since it worked so well with Gleek this year. Rolling Eyes

These are some Batman figures from India. They were made by Funskool and there were at least 25 of them. Most were slightly repainted versions of the regular U.S. figures on BTAS/TNBA Card Backs while others were complete repaints, repackaged on Batman style Card Backs.

Typical reuse of a BTAS figure

A BTA figure with a G.I. Joe jet.

A game with a figure

Reused Legends figures.

I’m not sure how rare the India Batman figures are, but I know I don’t often see them. Back in the U.S. there was Cyber-Link Superman and Batman. The Walmart version on the bottom row was probably the rarest while the Warner Bros. Store versions of Batman and Robin were probably the rarest of that series of figures which were all reused Total Justice figures.

Ha! I've got some of those Funskool BTAS items. They are weird, considering they're officially licensed.

Batman figures in India

While today most figures are on Tri-Lingual Cards it was Funskool (MRF Ltd & Hasbro) who released 25 known figures. Most of the figures were slightly different versions of their Batman The Animated Series North American counterparts with only minor differences in figure colors, decos and Card Backs. There were however, three figures on newer generic “Batman” Card Backs that were repaints of Legends of the Dark Knight figures, Bat Attack BATMAN, Glacier Shield BATMAN and Underwater Assault BATMAN.

They were way better than bootleg figures. They were just as good a quality as the U.S. versions and the animated style ones came with a 3 3/4" G.I. Joe figure in the tray as a bonus. Below is the names of the ones that I have. I do not know if more were made beyond 2001-2002 when these were released. If there are more out there I would like to know about them.

Bat Attack BATMAN
Glacier Shield BATMAN
Underwater Assault BATMAN
Battle Jet Protector BATMAN
Anti-Freeze BATMAN
Bane
Dick Grayson / Robin
Knight Star BATMAN
Bruce Wayne
Cyber Gear BATMAN
Decoy BATMAN
Rā’s Al Ghūl
Sky Dive BATMAN
Tornado BATMAN
Mech-Wing BATMAN
Ground Assault BATMAN
High Wire BATMAN
Silver Streak BATMAN
Rocketpack BATMAN
Disaster Control BATMAN
Bomb Control BATMAN
Fast Pursuit BATMAN
Tri Wing BATMAN
Lightning Strike BATMAN
Retro BATMAN

I have not opened it. I am told it was originally released as the Cobra Star Stiletto in 1988, then again as a Starfighter in 1993.
