I usually shy away from Marvel Select -- I own The Watcher, Thanos and wish I picked up Thor -- but the new "Iron Man 2" movie figures look pretty well done. I am really not a big fan of the Marvel movies (I found "Iron Man" to be just okay), but I love Iron Man and I may have to give Marvel Select another look.
There looks to be two Borders exclusives as well -- Mark IV and War Machine. Check them out HERE.

So the only War Machine figure itself will be an exclusive, too, and not just some variant?
Hard to say. In their blog, they state that Broders has the Mark IV as a exclusive; they never mention War Machine. Yet in the pictures, War Machine was the Borders sticker on it.

I have pretty much every darn Iron Man figure released in the last 2 years (and that is way too many, gah!), and when I saw the initial Marvel Select stuff for IM2 I decided those were the things I was gonna skip. I had had enough Iron Man. Then I saw this review of the Borders exclusive with all the awesome pics, and I went to Borders and used a 30% off coupon to get it. As I walked out of the store I instantly had buyer's remorse--do I really need another Iron Man? Why? Then, immediately after opening it my remorse was gone. I think it's pretty awesome. Here's a pic I started playing with:
(They didn't have any War Machines, so I'm not sure what the deal is with those as Borders Exclusives, but it looks like you can pre-order the War Machine from BBTS. I wonder if there is a small difference on the Borders version of War Machine?)

I'll probably pass on these and get the HotToys ones instead.
Not a bad idea. If I had all the money I have spent on Iron Man (Marvel Legends, Marvel Select, Marvel Universe, SHS, Minimates, Mighty Muggs, what else? ), I could easily afford at least a few super badass HotToys dudes with the light-up functions. Those are awesome. Then I would have one cool display and zero boxed figs. It's a good idea. I can't make the switch to that, but it would probably be better.

Looks nice, xrmc20. I had him in my hands with that 30% off coupon, but in the end, I put him back. I just see myself tossing him into a box three months after the movie is done and wondering why I spent $16 on a standalone figure that goes with nothing else I display.

Ha! Yeah. Well, I imagine that I will someday have a really cool armory display thing, and the scale issues won't matter cause I'll just rationalize it that Tony needed armors larger or smaller for different jobs/enemies. So the Marvel Select and the Marvel Legends will co-exist that way. Or I'll just put the big ones in the back or in strategic spots.

I actually used legos to make a semi-decent hall of armor for most of my Iron Man mini-mates. I'd recommend that solution for the smaller figures. Might do the same for the Toybiz armors.
Don't think I have enough Legos for the Legends though.

I normally by only Hot Toys Figures but I saw this in a Comic shop yesterday and decided to see what it was like. I thought the base was really good I thought and I thought the detail was good for a toy. I did not like the way his eyes were the same color as the face mask so I painted the eyes black and the edge of the face mask. I think it looks much better. I liked this one so much I decided to by the Mark IV and War Machine to get me through the next few months till Hot Toys releases there figures. Here are pictures and a video review.
