Any thoughts on these? These are just like the Star Wars QS figures, but without the voice chip, which drops the price to $49.99. Marvelous News has a picture of Deadpool, the first of the line, due out in September. I wonder if the body was modified any; the Star Wars QS figures seemed a bit skinny.

My thoughts? Upon hearing the news, some excitement and intrigue. Upon seeing the picture of Deadpool, the excitement has faded. The Toy Biz 18" Spider-Man movie figure is one of my favorite figures and the Mezco 18" Hellboy is pretty cool too. These take them to a different level, adding complete soft goods costumes. But I do not own any of the Stars Wars QS to make any type of pre-judgement on these. And Deadpool doesn't look all that impressive to me.

If Diamond Select makes the right character and knocks the design out the park, I can see myself buying a few of these. But my standards on these for purchase will be pretty high.

That Deadpool looks surprisingly terrible. I'm not sure how many fans are going to bite on that one.

Just because someone doesn‘t love you the way you want them to, doesn‘t mean they don‘t love you with all they have.

Wow. I guess this never came to fruition, did it? I heard nothing about these at Toy Fair. And from what I saw, that's probably a good thing, on these probably not coming out.

February 14: Q&A on Art Asylum blog
http://www.artasylum.com/blog/2011/02/a ... #more-3631

Pete Kingsman
Hello Art Asylum, Just wondering how things are going with the Ultimate Quarter Scale Deadpool? Diamond’s site says it’s still Preorder, but gives the date as having been in January (I think, I get unsure of US date formats at times). I’m mainly curious as the seller I pre-ordered it from seems to have pulled it from it’s website, after delaying the release a few times (Play UK if it matters, as I can’t order direct from Diamond due to my nationality). Has this awesome product been shelved, delayed, or something altogether more sinister. Thanks for your time, Pete

DSTChuck: WOW Pete I am sorry but we had to cancel the UQS Marvel line. We could just not lower the cost to where the SRP was what we thought would work, even with removing the sounds. That should not be up for order anymore.

It was funny, cause I had just read the Q&A about a minute before I saw your post.
