I figured we needed one of these instead of making new thread everytime we buy something new, or obtain something through trades, we can post it in here. So here's some windups I got in the mail today, all vintage:

Image

I already have the duck Minimal, so I plan to trade/sell him and the pony. The Ladybug is 1978, the other pocket pet is 1984. I already have a Yummies apple careded, so I was glad to get this hamburger one, I also have a carded Hilarious Hats cowboy hat, as well as the whole set loose, so I really wanted this carded police hat.

*also got a package from Toys R Us today with 3 Batman Brave and the Bold Action League packs (the Sportsmaster/Green Arrow, Batma/Ocean Master and Batman/Rex Mason)

I never knew there was such a wide variety of win-up toys in such different forms. That's a colorful haul you found yourself there, Else. Nice going, bro! :D

Latest purchases are the Q Bert Stamper on card that I posted in my Q Bert collection thread, a couple old video game Marquees I got real cheap that I plan on using as decoration for the toy room, from 2 games I LOVED as a kid:

as well as a TOMY Goof Up Golf, some other random windups, this Smurf train windup:

and the Smurf windups on the shelf in my wind up thread..

Man, you've got some rare finds in your collection. I'd never seen that Smurf train set before! Those marquees look awesome. Great conversation piece for the room.

I'm guessing the Pepcid bottle is for those crucial last minutes of an auction.

I tend to rely on covering my eyes with my hand and peeking through my fingers chanting "dont change dont change dont change" while trying desperately to NOT stare at the bid and countdown.

I'm the guy who sees the glass half empty, so I keep thinking: "I'm safe for now, but soon as those last five seconds clock in, I just know I'm gonna get sniped!"

I usually just go crazy and put in a bid that is way to high for me to handle in anticipation of the snipe.

And here is the last vintage item I got:

lol, actually, the Pepcid bottle is full of thumbtacks (which I used a LOT of on my walls), and which I DEFINITELY don't want to gulp down during bout of heartburn...

*and I just realized I have that Catwoman that Lord Mudd is looking for on top of the bin full of packaged restaurant premiums. Unfortunately, it's the only one I've come across yet, so I'm keeping that one.

Oh, man. The freaking Kojak office playset. Congrats! That baby is so rare I wasn't sure it actually existed.

Telly Savalas rocked. There just aren't enough Telly action figures or toys out there. 8)

I remember Lakeside's Light Up Drawing Desks. Our third grade teacher used to give out sheets as gifts for students at the end of the week. I got one once that had Doctor Strange, Nighthawk, and Death-Stalker on it. Didn't know what the heck it was at the time, but the characters looked really cool.

Chip, you have a knack for finding the neatest stuff. My hat's off to you, dude.
