I know it is only the beginning of July, but I am impatiently waiting for some announcement of figures form the Brightest Day event. And I want to see it include Rocket Red from Generation Lost!

the official DC Comics website's blog has series 1 and 2 of Brightest Day figures depicted and all I will say is this:
Mera is GORGEOUS!
Definitely adding at least her to the collection.

I've gotta say that so far, DCD seems to have nailed the scale issues with what they are putting out in the Blackest Night banner. If (and with DCD's history that is a really big IF) they can continue the same relative scale with the upcoming Brightest Day figures we may finally have a definitive and consistent line up of the DCU being put out from DCD.
Again I say ...
Wow!!!

These look fantastic. DCUC is a nice mass market line, but they simply do not compare to what DCD has been coming out with.

Green Arrow is an interesting choice. GA has not been in the main title, although his new comic has the Brightest Day logo on it. I think it lets us know they might hit any of the BD titles for this line.
*Flash - Flash, Capt Boomerang, Prof Zoom *Green Lantern - whomever ends up wielding the white lantern *Birds of Prey - Huntress, Black Canary, Hawk, Dove *Justice League Generation Lost - Maxwell Lord, Booster Gold, Fire, Ice, Captain Atom, Blue Beetle, Rocket Red *Titans Villains - Deathstroke, Osiris, ... not sure who else is in this and the rest of the cast itself of *Brightest Day - Atom,

MERA!!! Finally! Now I kinda wish I hadn't bought the Red One. Anyone think she would have been even better with a hard water construct?

Mera is beautiful and I am excited about Deadman having a white lantern ring. I hope they are in scale w/ the Blackest Night figs.

Mera is definitely the standout here. Beautiful face and body sculpt. Most of these characters have been covered by DCUC and I'm satisfied with their classic versions, but anyone interested in Aquaman, Firestorm, J'onn, or the Hawks' new looks should be very happy with this new line.
If DC Direct expands it to guys like Captain Boomerang, Max Lord, and Boston Brand, I'll be picking those up as well.

I'm thinking that if this line has legs the way that Blackest Night has w will see (at the very least) the full compliment of "the Twelve" that returned at the end of Blackest Night. With the inclusion of Green Arrow in his new costume (very Longbow Hunter-esque ), I think it leads to hope that we will get an update of any figure that has been reborn/resurrected in the DCU up to this point (Conner Kent, Impulse/Kid Flash, Supes, Bats, etc.)

The Mera is definately the standout of the bunch, let's hope the production version looks as good as that paint master (though I do hope they lose the nail polish, it looks like she has talons and such paint-ops are seldom good at 1:12 scale). Will probably pick up both Mera and Ollie... I got Arisa a few weeks back and was pleasantly surprised to find that she was made from PVC instead of that dangerously fragile resin that DCD was so fond of, seems like she'd survive a fall from the shelf. Kind of makes me wish that I'd bought more into the BN line now...
