Not to mention an awesome LEGO JLU video game!

THought I would bump this back up to the front since conversation about these has started leaking into the new SuperFriends thread.

Yes, I like the style of the characters. They are the reason I want the sets. I don't care for the building aspect of these, although my 3 year old nephew likes that part.

The commercials are a lot of fun and a great reminder of why I like toys in the first place.

So,

who's picked up any of the sets?

Did anyone get onto TRU.com and get one of the exclusive city scape backdrops?

I really like that Batcave. I might have to pick that up whenever I can find it.

Its not that hard to find (at least not around here). Its available in force at ever Target, TRU, and Kmart in the area.

The only thing that is hard to find right now are the character packs of Robin and Joker, and Batman and Riddler.

There will also be a Robin Jet but I have no idea if it has been released yet or not.

Haven't really looked for it at my TRU yet. Forget to check for it when I was in there last week. I'll probably be able to pick it up this week. Thanks for the info.

For some reason I thought these Trio sets were TRU exclusive.

Meh. Maybe if they do some Superman related stuff I'll pick it up, but other than that, no.

While I was at my local TRU at 2am Friday morning (I know, I know....crazy) they had a TRU exclusive that had the entire DC Superfriends TRIO line in one box. This thing had everything, the batcave, batwing, jokerbot, robin plane, mr. freeze vehicle, superman aircraft, penguin launcher and all the figures including the variants of joker and robin. This even included the Riddler figure. Now the big question...how much? This set was priced at $119.99 and looks to be available in stores only, not online. Not bad considering you get the entire TRIO line of DC all in one shot. However, I will say that I resisted temptation to buy it simply because my kids have expressed on many occassions how much they do not like this line and I knew that it would just sit in a corner if I brought it home. I have to admit though that it was tough to put back on the shelf.

What a great way to buy into the line. It is especially nice to see ALL of the minifigs lined up across the top of the box so you can check out paint and what not (an admittedly weak point of production with all TRIO lines).

If I didn't already have everything in the box I would've jumped on it.

Found a new Green Lantern Jet set at TRU today. Not sure if anything else is shipping with it, and I don't remember any Trio news from Toy Fair.

Here;s hoping we get some more sets and varied characters...

I hadn't realized there was going to be a Green Lantern. I assume it comes with a Hal?

I was in TRU today wasting my lunch break and found a new Green Lantern Kilowog Cannon set. Its one of the smaller scale sets (like the Penguin Cannon or Robin Jet) and sold at $8.99

It is by far the CUTEST Kilowog I have ever seen. Nothing else new on the shelf, but there were 6 of this item so it probably (I guess) ships in a case by itself.
