Alright, I'll play now. Honestly it's a three way tie for me between Batman, Superman and Flash....but if I had to pick one favorite it would be Batman. I was born in 85 so I was born into the "Batman" era for entertainment. Just in my lifetime they have released 6 major Batman movies now and several cartoons...most notably of course BTAS. I even had my own Batman cape!

Superman. He was the first. He's the greatest. He has the power to conquer the world and be a despot and yet he chooses to use that power for truth, justice and, well, you know. And Superman doesn't kill. All life is sacred, even those of his enemies. I admire that.

BATMAN! He has no super powers, is one of the most intelligent heroes in the comics (if not THE smartest) and is very brave. He has taken on a lot of the villains in the comics that Superman has taken on but without all those super powers to help him. He's a billionare and doesn't HAVE to be Batman but decides to because he wants to make sure that what happened to him and his parents doesn't happen to anyone else. He knows it's the right thing to do. He puts his life on the line every night to fight murderers and phychos such as Joker, Two Face, Killer Croc and Mr. Zsasz. These are guys I certainly wouldn't wanna run into anytime (let alone in a dark alley).

Unless they happen to be Kryptonian criminals like the ones he killed off during Byrne's run right after Crisis. Supes is okay, I just find him a bit boring. Haven't collected him since Death of Superman.

I loved Byrne's run on Superman and Man of Steel. Hell, I loved pretty much every book he's been attached to. Too bad he's such an arrogant prick in real life.

I've never met the guy, so I couldn't say (although I've heard he can be difficult to work with), but Bryne is one of my top 10 artist's of all time and was a pretty good writer as well.
I've actually went out and obtained most of his Marvel runs (Cap, Alpha Flight, etc.). His Fantastic Four run is the best since the Lee/Kirby days IMO. I can't recommend it enough to fans of old school superhero action and adventure.

Not to mention his runs on Avengers, She-Hulk, Incredible Hulk, X-men (Dark Phoenix Saga, in a word EPIC) and Namor. The most incredible thing in all of this, is that he did several of them concurrently. He even inked and wrote a lot of his own stuff. Artists today can't even get one book out on time. Much less pencil, ink and write multiple books at the same time. He's in my top 5 all-time, and was my inspiration as a 12-13 year old to become a comic artist. A lot of my earlier stuff was pretty much a carbon copy of his style.

I really enjoyed his WCA run. Avengers, not so much. He must have pissed off the wrong people, because you hardly ever see him drawing comics anymore.
His X-men stuff was great, but I like his AF stuff better. Nothing shocked me as much as issue #12 when Guardian bit the dust. I thought for sure he'd make it, but Heather distracted him just long enough to go BOOM!
That, and the page where Sue finds out she lost her second baby. Riveting stuff.

Who's your favorite?
Impulse.
How did you get exposed to him/her/it?
High School. YJ was just getting ready to launch, and I really dug Humberto Ramos (artist on Impulse's regular series) and Todd Nauck (artist on YJ)' style. Before that time, I felt comics all looked the same, and didn't have much interest in them, it wasn't until I read JLA World Without Grown Ups, that I realized there were more styles available. I always gravitated towards Impulse, because I liked the costume, and liked that he really did continue the legacy of the Flash.
Why do you think you like them so much?
The character's look and personality. While many would say he was annoying, or even naive at first, I've got to say there was an honesty and innocence to the character. Something that really felt realistic. I wasn't too enthralled by traditional superhero comics at first, but I was willing to give it a try and I'm glad I did.
