To me it’s one of those WTF moments for DC Super Friends
The Imaginext line has almost everything Batman with only a Superman and Green Lantern being the only other heroes I’ve seen released so far. There are various Batman and Robin figures in different Batmobiles and other Bat vehicles. The Joker, The Penguin, The Riddler, Mr. Freeze are already out and Killer Croc is on the way.
The original DC Super Friends was great and they released mostly Batman, but there was also Superman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, The Flash, Lex Luthor, Cyborg, Hawkman and lastly Robin before the line died out. Fisher Price and Mattel had the chance to reuse Rescue Heroes vehicles and playsets for DC Super Friends but the only major vehicles released were My First Batmobile and My First Batwing along with a few smaller vehicles for some of the others.
Now comes Hero World and it has two scales and is not quite compatible with either DC Super Friends or DC Super Friends Imaginext. So WTF, why did Fisher Price/Mattel have to make a whole new series of figures?

Yeah, it is really confusing. Not sure why they would start a whole new scale of figure when there are already two sizes as is.

I'm going to offer up a conjecture here...
If the DC Superfriends v.1 didn't sell, but they wanted to try and re-energize the line, what better way to do it than by re-designing everything, offering a new style, new scale, and new play options than what was done before.
If this doesn't work, I am sure it will go away, take a brief hiatus, and then come back again, re-designed and refreshed, and offered in a new style with new play options.
I would like to see it succeed and to include more of the DCU in general, but I won't be surprised if it doesn't do either.

You know, these aren't terrible. Just not what I was expecting. Well, Superman is pretty terrible but they are pretty cool for little kids. Especially if they cross over with Rescue Heroes. I'll be excited to see if they expand beyond these first five characters.

I picked up the Superman today. Passed on Penguin because he's just too large. Now I'm just looking for the vechiles. Also (and this may be very old news) it looks like the Rescue Heroes are also this scale now and under the same name.

The Joker dragster is a definite yes. Mr. Freeze with polar bear is probably going to be a pick up as well. Maybe Superman as well but I only really want Krypto.
With these being more in scale with JLU and B:BatB I'm gonna be all over these. I kinda hope these expand to other licenses besides DC and Rescue Heroes. (Can't really think of another Mattel license that would fit, though.)
Also hope it expands to other DC characters and more vehicles. DrGreenEvil

Love the villians in this line! I'll be picking up the Penguin, Mr. Freeze and Joker's dragster.

I picked up Batman and The Joker today. The smaller scale was probably to save money. They look OK, but I wonder if I really want to start collecting a new line or stick with Imaginext, which is still cooler.

Yeah, I love the character selection and playsets of the ImagiNext line (which this line probably won't have).

I saw the batcycle & Joker funny car tday at TRU. They were $15 each. I picked up the Batcycle mainly for the Batman who in all black and doesn't have an action feature or the batarnag holster on his glove. Batcycle - Joker Funny car -

Would Penguin fit in with the old Superfriends line since they are larger scale. Could anybody post comparison pics?
