With Teela and Evil-Lyn turning into such huge successes, I can fully expect more female figures beyond the Sorceress. Queen Marlena alone merits two different versions of her own. She's practically a given in this line.

I'd like to see (and I can't think of her name for the life of me) the lady from the "Siren's Song" episode from the 200x series. She was actually Evil-Lyn disguised as a beautiful Siren that hypnotized Ram-Man into betraying the Masters. She'd make an awesome figure, and would require some new sculpting because of the flowing dress she wore.

Chief Carnivus is coming up in a couple of weeks, who's getting (or should I say trying to get) him?

I think he's one of the best sculpted figures yet. I'm really excited about him. It makes me wonder how awesome the Thundercats would've been in the 4H's hands.

He's on my sub even though I don't know the character. Looks cool, though. The Thundercats would rock as a 4H line. :D

I want this now! I hope the scalpers show as little interest to him as they did to Count Marzo. That way I'll actually be able to get him.

I did poorly last time out, but I hope I can snag both the cat and the gorilla this time.

I wonder how bad the traffic will be? I mean, they're supposed to be improving EVERY time, right? So eventually, ordering will be as smooth as silk.

Yeah, right.

I'm less interested in Chief Carnivus than I was in previous figures, but the sculpt is really quite good. I was going to sit this one out, but I might end up changing my mind on game day.

This line and JLU are my toy lines that I live for. I wish JLU had a subscription like MOTUC. I'm heartened by the announcement that there will be 4 feamle figure this year. I'm betting they will be Catra, 200x Evil-Lyn, Queen Marlena, and Sweet Bee.

I hope for Catra and the Sorceress, at least.

I honestly don't expect to see Sorceress this year. I think they'll hold off another year with her. Then, once they release her, they can do the 200x version. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Sorceress. She's my favorite character in the whole freaking franchise! I'm just not letting myself get my hopes up regarding her. Plus, there are so few MOTU females they can actually make. From the way they've been talking, it sounds like we'll get Queen Marlena before Sorceress.

Queen Marlena has a lot of things going for her that will bring positive buzz - 1st & 2nd, she's a vintage-continuity based character that has never had a figure made. The never-before-made status brings about collectors, and the vintage-continuity based also brings positive buzz for people who are really nostalgia-centered in their collecting of the line. That, and the trademark has been taken out on Queen Marlena and is active.

Yeah, there's a whole thread at he-man.org that tracks which character names have been trademarked by Mattel in recent months...

Quote:
If they can make Wundar they can made Scorpia and Octavia!

See, Wundar wasn't created by Filmation....so I don't think that logic works. Far as I know, a company named Creative Media (or somesuch) bought the rights to the MOTU and POP Filmations shows and is rereleasing She-Ra this year. They'd need to be working with Mattel for Octavia or Scorpia (or Weaver) to be coming out. The only sign of that that we've seen so far is a press release from CM AND Mattel talking about how they're both celebrating She-Ra's 25th anniversary...which may mean nothing.

*Again, looks suspiciously at Adora and She-Ra*

Sorry, the number "4" was never specified. The exact quote Toy Guru said was that there would be more female figures in 2011 than what were released this year, and that did not include re-releases, but could include A-List bonus variants. Fans like me dare not hope for more than 4, since there were 3 female figures released in 2010 - She-Ra, Evil-Lyn, and Adora. I'd love it if we got more than four, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

If Mattel is dipping into Big Jim, I hope we get this "Battle Cat" maybe as a mode of transport for Wun-Dar or that Viking He-Man:
