I don't know why, but I have a strong feeling my recent good fortune will continue tomorrow on Matty. Maybe I need to rub a magic Buddha or something . Countdown to Carnivus....

I got Chief Carnivus today! He looks amazing. The 4H knocked it out of the park with him. I didn't expect to be able to get through so easily on Matty Sale Day (again ), so I had a backup plan. I pre-ordered Carnivus from Ebay (a guy who has a bunch of subs), and I only paid $3 more than I did with Matty including shipping. So I actually got my Ebay shipment, before my Matty shipment. Go figure.

Out of all modern lines, this is the only one I like and would like to actively collect.
However, I have none and I feel like it's a little too late in the game so to speak. I'm not sure I can afford right now to pay $30+ per figure from eBay hawks and I'm sure they will only go up.
Any alternatives to eBay when it comes to these? Like an online store that (yeah right), sells them at the original retail price, or am I just being unrealistic?
I hate to sound like a typical bitter broke bum, but it would be cool if they the production of each figure less limited and then limited the maximum order to even less than 10.....something like 2 or 3. Because we know guys aren't buying 10 to put up on the shelf.

Actually, if you're intent is to stay as close to the original retail as possible, your best bet is the Swap Meet here at AFi. A lot of members, like myself, sell/trade stuff at cost. There's also Matty.com. They re-release MOTUC figures fairly regularly. So if you missed something initially, it'll probably come back around again. You just have to be patient. It may take 12-18 months or more to get around to some figures. I hope that helps.

OK, good info. I think eventually I'm going to start collecting these, way too tempting.
I can't wait to start posting in the Buy/Sell area. I have so much stuff I think people here will like.

The Classic Marketplace has TONS of people unloading extras of MOTUC at just over retail prices. My advice is try post everything you need or buy in bulk to save on shipping.
Stay way from some of the higher priced ones that will be re-issued soon i.e. Battlecat and He-man and Skeletor are being re-issued again.
