I don't think the hats are attached in any of the sets; they are just stored down by their feet.

so, i stopped by the ONLY tru in lame ass tallahassee today and no gb 4 pack so far. i asked them when they'd be getting them in and the guy said something about our store being a d store vs an a or b store. i wonder does that mean we wont get them at all, or just until after xmas?

Toys R Us Big Book of Toys: Ghostbusters 2 Set for $49.99.

That's what I paid after using a coupon, but for those on the fencse, this might be the right time to buy, um, whenever the TRU BBOT goes into effect (Facebook has a preview at the moment).

Both versions of the Mr. Stay Puft Bank will be $19.99.

Bloody Hell, TRDouble! I wish I'd seen that ten minutes ago!

The GB 2 set is now available on ToysRUs.com. Using the $10 off $50 coupon and factoring in shipping, it came out to be just a tad under the cost of buying it in the store. I just ordered mine. Here's hoping I get one with good paint apps.

Took a look at TRU.com and they've got them back on there. You can choose between the set with the hats on or off.

Couldn't someone simply open their package and slide the figure tray out, then reposition the Santa hats onto their heads and slide the tray back inside the box if that's how you want to display them in the package?

Personally, I just opened it and threw away the packaging. I collect figures, not cardboard boxes.

No, because they are packaged a little differently.

When looking at the box, the busters with the hats has Slimer on the right side (IIRC).

The busters without the hats have Slimer in the middle. And the hats at their feet

So, really, if you plan to keep them in the box, or want to make sure the hats fit, try and find the set with the hats already on (which I have not seen yet and if that is how you want to display them MIB). If you plan to open them up anyway, it doesn't matter which set you get.
