I found the MAX guys at TRU last weekend and picked up two of the Police packs. They're pretty cool, but what's even cooler is that the extra gear comes with a transparent mini-mate body. With the SWAT gear you can barely tell the limbs are clear. Some of my extra heads have just found new homes!

I think they had the same price point as the standard Marvel 2-packs, but you get A LOT of extra stuff.

I only have one minor quibble: they didn't put the police uniform imprint on the second cop in the SWAT gear. It's just a blank blue torso. :?

I picked up a set on Thursday.

And I did not know about the clear minimate on the MAX packs! I need to buy one just for that!

Just remember, they are headless! You get arms, legs, and the two body sections.

Just a quick pop-in to let everyone know that the Heroic Age Box Set is out at select Canadian TRUs. I grabbed a box last Saturday near Hamilton.

TRU Wave 8 has returned to US TRUs too, but now I have to start looking for Wave 9... ugh!

I picked up the Sue Storm/Mole Man and Reed Richards/Dr. Doom sets. Just need to pick up the Human Torch/Thing set. I love these updated FF mates. On the fence about Namor. May get it.

I was at a comic shop in Sacramento on Saturday and found the variant War Machine / and that blue and yellow Iron Man villain. His name is escaping me right now. They were having a sale so it came out to about 6 bucks.

When is the TRU wave 9 supposed to be out? Want to add those New Mutant / X-Force sets.

His name is Spymaster, and he was much cooler in that costume than the lame one they came up in the past 5 years.

It's not like I was on the fence about buying it or anything,

But with the news that the included figure with the carry case is a BATTLE BEAST!?!?

Now it is a "drop everything and buy it now" must buy!

Damn, I was really hoping that this battle beast thing would die on the vine-- especially since Diamond is so big on the exclusives-- this is going to get really expensive...And battle beasts will lend themselves to 100s of color variants....

Well, I've spent a month trying to find the Hulk Buster Ironman (TRU Exclusive) on eBay for under $20.. it's just not happening. Maybe, after the holidays, things will settle down a bit.

It just goes to show, the most desired Minimate is the one you do not have. :)

Just grabbed a Maxx "smoke jumper" at TRU. I'm a firefighter, and while the department I work for doesn't have the "Metro" style helmets, the colors and neck-down gear are almost exact! HUGE fan, and I plan on grabbing the Smoke Jumper chief pack as well. But here's the problem...

...I'm hooked again on Minimates. I have the first three waves of DC mini's, and a few Marvel's (first few waves of Marvel got me, even though I'm a DC man through and through), and now I'm sort of frustrated that I missed the Star Trek waves. I'm a huge fan of TOS and I'm not about to pay $9+shipping on ebay for the first wave packs. Amazon has a more reasonable price, but the shipping on Kirk/Vina and Spock/Pike is almost as much as the cost for the figures. I did a preliminary Google hunt, and found them at StuckaKid.com. Anyone deal with them? Any other suggestions on other places to buy? Thanks guys!

I went to TRU today and picked up the Terminator 2 Hunter Killer with the T-800 Endo Skeleton. For 11.99 this thing is awesome. I have many of the Kenner Terminator figures but I dont have any Hunter Killers so this is a great addition to my collection, and actually my first minimates set Ive purchased.
