I am new to the MOTUC line. I remember watching the show as a kid and thought that the figures looked very cool and might be worth the hassle. I managed to pick He-Man and Orko over at rebelscum and am waiting to get them in the mail.
I read that some figures are going to be re-issued in 2011. Any idea who?

Frequency wrote: I read that some figures are going to be re-issued in 2011. Any idea who? Frequency, lately Matty has been doing one re-release every two months and there isn't a real pattern to it. If you follow Matty's website, they'll let you know before the sale (sometimes only a few weeks in advance). Assuming they consistently re-issue a figure every 2 months you are looking at 6 figures next year. So far, we know that Evil-Lyn is going to be re-released during this January's sale. Past that, I don't think anyone knows the re-issue order. The other way that figures are "re-issued" is in the ToysRUs DCUC vs MOTUC 2-packs (but each of the MOTUC figures is slightly different from the MattyCollector release. Usually it is as simple as a different paint job). Earlier this year they featured Superman vs He-Man and Lex Luthor vs. Skeletor. Currently, the 2 packs are Aquaman vs. MerMan (MerMan is a blue-ish green paint variation closer to the original mini-comic appearance) and Hawkman vs. Stratos (the colors of Stratos' harness and wings are reversed). Past that there are supposed to be 4 more DCUC vs MOTUC figure packs this year. The next 2 are going to be revealed in the issue of Toyfare that comes out in Jan. The one hint we have is that one pack features characters with guns. (Deadshot vs. Trapjaw, perhaps? It's really anyone's guess).

Thanks for the info BlackCanary, it's very helpful. I did know about Evil-Lyn, so that's one I won't have to go back and get. I hope Man-At-Arms is one of the re-issues.

The Stratos that comes in the Toys R Us 2-packs not only has the reds and blues reversed, but the gray used to paint his body is also a darker gray, that actually makes him look better, in my opinon.

I would still hazard a guess that at one point you will get either a SheRa or Teela with Wonder Woman..

Every TRU I go to has the DC vs MOTU sets spilling off the bottom shelf. I did my part. I have both the Skeletor/Lex and the Supes/He-man sets. These sets just don't seem to be moving well. At least here they don't. Oh, and I would definitely buy a SheRa or Teela with Wonder Woman set.

I had one as a kid, and loved it. Now it just seems kind of goofy. Aren't they all pretty goofy? I keep telling myself that I won't buy any more figures, but the sculpts are so amazing, I get sucked back in every month. I've skipped a few, but I was impressed with Buzz-Off, so I ended up getting that figure. It should arrive today! I'm looking forward to Evil-Lyn next month. I was unable to get her the first time she was released. But after that, no more!

As far as re-releases that I want/need go:
Evilynn Whiplash Tri-klops Skeletor (I keep hoping they'll update him into a more 200x style or at least fix the hood/neck issue) He-man (just haven't gotten around to getting him yet)
So far, I have successfully gotten the following through re-releases:
Merman Beastman Trapjaw Hordak
Has anybody besides He-man and Skeletor gotten the Re-Re-Release treatment?

I know that Trapjaw has been rereleased (August or September I believe). I'm not sure about the rest of them.

That Shadow Beast is tempting me now, as well as King Hsssss. The rest are easy passes, though. Where's Clawful? Stinkor? And the rest of the Horde and Snake-men? Yeah, I'm a villain guy.

I like the helmet on Panthor. I'd like to see Panthor and Battle Cat side by side to compare the sculpting differences.

Sy-klone (loved him as a kid) is a bit too garish for my taste, but Im pretty sure I'll be getting the rest of them. BA Skeletor and King Hssss came out a lot better than I expected. The 4H did a fantastic job of toning down Bow. He's a definite must have. Panthor is awesome. The only one I'm on the fence about is Shadow Beast. He's cool and all, but I'm just not sure about him...
