I picked up the World Peacekeepers Lookout Tower from Big Lots yesterday. I really should have clicked on this thread sooner. There's all sorts of gold out there .

If you guys are familiar with the Chap Mei stuff, they've made some really great props and vehicles.

Pretty cool. I saw 3 playsets with solid cross use potential: The Pirate Skull cave, The Jungle Treehouse and Temple. I could see the Treehouse with Star Wars Ewoks or Wookies, or for Flash Gordon Arboria.

I think I saw some Vikings a couple of years ago, not sure where, but none of the stuff in the blog is on their site now.

Thanks Peter . That Chap Mei stuff is amazing. There's almost an infinite amount of possibilities there. I can mix and match stuff from 4 or 5 different lines, and if done right, it'll flow together almost seamlessly. This thread has me in diorama heaven.

I found this on Google while searching "papercraft playset." I saved it as a bitmap in my paint program then did a copy/paste modification. Other simple modifications like this are possible to create whatever look you want, using the basic frame as a template because it fits cleanly on an 8 1/2 X 11 paper. CCC.

This Japanese site has some nice stuff you guys might be able to use: http://paperm.jp/craft/dollhouse/index.htmlEach of the the items listed on that page takes you to a sub-page where you can actually download the PDF patterns to build them.

Those papercraft dollhouses are pretty sweet. I really feel that good papercraft is the best bet for putting together the kind of playsets and large scale vehicles collectors want, but will likely never get.
I'm experimenting with papercraft patterns transfered to cardboard and then covered in the printed textures. I have high hopes that this will produce a quality product.

I mean seriously, wouldn't it be amazing to be able to DOWNLOAD a PDF of the new shuttlecraft from Star Trek 12 next year, swing by the hobby store for some illustrator board, and put together your awesome, full scale new vehicle before you even get the toys?
