I mentioned this video the other day in another thread here on the vintage board, but folks weren't able to view it because of Facebooks privacy settings.

So I ran into Bobby today and lunch and asked him if I could share the video here, so he put it up on You Tube.

So here it is:

Enjoy! (and thanks Bobby!)

Don't let the vintage purists over on Rebelscum see that one. They'll rain fire and brimstone upon him. Let's see him do that with a POTF Yak Face. :)

Peace,

Chip

I did this at one of my star wars meetings- slit open Droids Cards to get the coins-- some people actually got agitated about it -- Personally I was kind of amused-if they were willing to hand me a pristine droids coin and pay me for what I was selling the loose figures for-- I would gladly not do it-- but since no one was taking me up on that offer -- tough noogies...-

I love watching overgrown manchildren get all hot and bothered that you're destroying a collectible!

I'd love to see it happen more often. Just to watch them overreact!

I mean, the nerve of you doing what you want with your own things!

The point is preservation of the hobby as a whole. There are PLENTY of NM/MT complete Waroks to go around...why destroy one of the much fewer MOC examples in order to get something that with very little work you could obtain in the format you want it?

Peace,

Chip

Because, like he says in the video - the loose complete ones that he found were MORE expensive than this one with the yellow, cracked bubble.

To each his own. If he got it for $35 and loose ones were going for $60-150, why not open it. If it would have been the other way around, sell it, buy a loose one, and make some profit.

Regardless of the card condition, I probably would have openend it. :D

Thanks for posting Dan. I enjoyed it as well.
I wonder if you can now persuade Bobby to share pics of his collection in the Collection Coolness section? :)

I am glad he allowed us to share in his moment. Completing such a large collection is quite a feat.
