DC Direct appears to be alive and well. The first wave of Flash Point figures has been shown: http://www.actionfigureinsider.com/blog ... -and-well/My favorite is Cyborg. I just really like the design. We've needed a new Barry Allen Flash for a while. I really like the Blue Lantern Flash sculpt. I'll have to see this to decide. Wonder Woman's FP look is interesting. Batman's FP look is too much like his usual look. I'm kind of concerned that the announcement of this line means that the Brightest Day line will be ending after 3 waves.

I still love my DC Direct Flash from the Flash/Kid Flash two pack. The cosmic treadmill was a nice accessory.
Also, there was an Elseworlds Flash story called Flashpoint. I wonder if that will have any relevance or perhaps DC just liked the name for their new storyline.

My guess is they held back the solicits to keep from ruining any surprises that editorial wanted to keep.
But now that the Flashpoint hype machine is in full speed, we're getting the images now.
Remember, in the latest Previews catalog, there are no DC Direct action figure solicits. I could very easily see them solicited in the next Previews with a ship date that is moved up to fill in the gap. It has been done before for other "movie tie in" merchandise, so why not a comic related line?
And I agree ... that Flash figure just looks "off" somehow.

Does DCD not work on more than one series at once? Not too interested in the Flashpoint figures, wave 1 at least is a pass.

Couldn't they include at least ONE character who's never had a figure in this wave?

Not really related to these figures, but there is going to be a Flash ring coming out with the Flash Point comics.

Will it be any different than the Flash ring that was offered when the title relaunched last year? Also, there will be a series of buttons offered as comic store incentives, one for each of the newly redesigned logos of the major characters affected in the storyline. According to DC's blog, they will be unique to comic shops and completely different than anything they'll be offering at conventions this year. Wow, do they REALLY believe Flashpoint will be the next big thing? Is it that important of a story? I can't really see any of this lasting more than a month or two in any book outside of Flash once the story is done (except for the year long weekly series and tie-ins that will follow it ... )

Great figures and great designs by Andy Kubert, as a Batman fan I hope I can get the "evil" Batman figure.

It's nice to finally see the solicits for these figures but what is up with this: Quote: 4-color clamshell blister card packaging. LIMITED QUANTITIES ARE AVAILABLE! ORDERS MAY BE ALLOCATED! Since when does DC Direct make a production run ahead of orders. Haven't they always produced the figures based on quantities ordered with little overages? Either this is a bad precedent or this wave is "coming back" into solicits after being lost in the shuffle of new teams and offices.

If these are actually going to arrive in stores in June production time and numbers would have to be locked in by now if they aren't already in production.

Ha, I was just thinking today ''I wonder if DC Direct will make a Flashpoint series.'' Anyway, I'm glad they did decide to do this. Issue #1 was pretty sweet. That Cyborg is dope!

And I agree ... that Flash figure just looks "off" somehow. I passed on the Blackest Night Blue Lantern Flash in the hopes that it would just get repainted into the normal Flash which would have been awesome. Im very disappointed with the Flash figure that we are going to be getting. Maybe its the way it is painted, but to me it looks kind of "cheap".
