After posting that last thread (viewtopic.php?f=35&t=18333), I realized many of you might not be familiar with these.

Ashley Wood is an Australian artist/illustrator who has done some amazing concept design and other artworks, including working on Judge Dredd and the Metal Gear comics; among this work is his line of World War Robot graphic novels. He has released action figures based on this (WWRp) and his other works through his company, 3A Toys. Some of the figures have been 12", but the WWRp line is in the 1/6 scale. They are pricey, but very, very cool. For those that like robots, war machines, concept art, etc, these are just the thing. http://www.Bambalandstore.com is the place to go to buy these, and below are some good spots for further info:

In case you missed the news...

Quote:
threeA’s WWRp JDF EMGY ARMSTRONG 1G Donation

We are going to make a Japanese Armstrong; its official name is WWRp JDF EMGY ARMSTRONG 1G. We will be sending all our previous Japanese customers one for free, everyone one else can purchase one soon at bambaland.com which we will sell for a limited time and give all profits to a Japanese welfare agency. I mean every dime! all costs covered our end!

From the threeA forum:

Quote:
Ashley and Kim are known for their big heart, here is another noble gesture from their side: 3A is going to send special WWRp Armstrong 1G toy to all previous Japanese customers for free and offer it on Bambaland for rest of the world. All income from the sale, I mean every $, will go to Japanese welfare agency.

Even though toys and good gestures mean not much compared to Japans situation.
we at 3A are going to send all our previous 3A customers a special JDF WWrp Armstrong toy,
we will also sell for a limited time and give every $$$ to a Japanese welfare agency. I mean every $
no costs covered our end !

A bit more explanation about 1G Armstrong:
to be clear, we are sending all our previous japanese customers a free toy, the rest of the world will be able to buy it
every cent, we are not covering costs on any of it, not even shipping !
they will be for sale soon as possible !

Mine came today. That horse just blows me away. I was expecting extreme wonderfulness, and STILL am blown away. Everything from the detailing on the guns to the weathering on the saddlebags is just perfect.

That 3A Iron Man is really cool.

If this is a sign of what to expect from the rest of the Marvel U in Ashley Wood's hands I'm going to be very tempted to buy in!
