People who talk to me when I'm watching TV (wait for a commercial, idiot)
Calling vandals "graffiti artists"
Calling illegal aliens "undocumented migrants"
People who want to read my newspaper before I'm done with it
People who can't get through an entire meal without using their cellphones
People who don't turn off their cellphones during a movie
Smokers (poison yourself if you must but don't do it around me)
HOAs (specifically the little busybodies who have nothing better to do than wander the neighborhood looking for violations)

People who talk on their cellphones so audibly, that they assume everyone wants to hear their conversation (WE DONT).
Stupid people. To be less ambiguous, 70% of Earth's population. If you're offended by that, your probably not in the other 30%.

Well that didn't take too long to get political. But I'm with you on the loutish music blarers and ill-mannered brats.

Shellhead wrote: Calling illegal aliens "undocumented migrants" I agree with most of yours Glenn, but texting is awesome. There are lots of times when I need to insult CantinaDan, but I don't want to talk to him or waste time with a phone call. Texting allows me the flexibility to insult my friends in an efficient way.

When some body resides in a country illegally the correct term (and legal term under international law, I might add) is illegal alien.
That's not political. It's fact.
Some people have MADE it political, but that's not my problem.
"Undocumented migrant" has no basis in law. Illegal alien does.

I'm just saying you knew it was a politically charged/loaded pet peeve. It is, and you knew it. Therefore, I rest my case, you went political in the thread first. And that's a fact, not a quantum theory. A new one: The noises dudes make in public restrooms while they go 1 or 2 -- I just don't get the weird breathing/snorting/grunting/etc. I don't have a fit on the toilet when I'm home by myself, let alone in public. What is going on with this? Anyone else experience this, or are all you guys bathroom trolls too?

We'll agree to disagree. Haven't had the bathroom one, but I'm with Glenn on the texting. Can't. Stand. It. Being a public school teacher has a lot to do with it, though. If I had a buck for every cellphone I've had to confiscate due to texting in class, I could retire.

For me, texting depends on who I'm communicating with. My close friends I talk to on the phone, and only text when I have to or only have a small tidbit to relay. There are PLENTY of people I text so that I don't HAVE to talk to them on the phone, because if I do, I'll never get off. But to text entire conversations is ridiculous.

Mine is actually people calling me when they could have texted. More often than not, I'm doing at least two things at a time and if someone calls that usually brings me down to one thing. I can text and do other things at the same time, even with a virtual iPhone keyboard but I can't hold the phone up to talk and do much else.
I've had an iPhone for 3 years now and I've only talked on the phone for 4,800 minutes. And most of that is only because my mom or gf (now wife) calls me. I have to talk to them.
