good day

i am a sculptor of table top wargame miniatures and for years i have been using G2 stikfas as a means of getting the poses right before i take to sculpting.
sadly, after years of use the stikfas in my collection have become a little worn and their joints less stiff rendering them less than usefull.
i am trying to find a plain, featureless action figure to use to the same effect but so far i have not been very successfull.
the only thing i have found that is the right size and doesn't cost the earth is the takara microman but i have not been able to lay my hands on any as they seem to already be out of production in their basic form (i don't want the batman/predator/transformers ones. they need to be featureless).
i have seen the hot toys trueform 1:12th scale range but i really need something smaller (around the 15cm size) and less expensive.

in short. i am looking for a fully poseable, featureless action figue of between 10 - 15cm in height that i can use in order to get my poses right before i set my armeture.

can anyone help me by suggesting a suitable range of figures?

any help will be greatly appreciated.
many thanks
james

I can't help you with your question, but as a tabletop wargamer I was just curious who you sculpted for? Do you have an online portfolio?

i'm working on a series of miniatures at the moment which i am hoping to pitch to some of the independant miniatures companies. i am also working on a gaming system with a friend of mine. he will write the back story and rules system and i will design the miniatures.

i'm keeping the miniatures i'm working on at the moment under wraps untill it's time to make them public but you can see images of some practice pieces i have done in the past. these consict of copies of existing miniatures which are in production by a well known miniatures company.

they are on my site:-

please feel free to take a look at my work and let me know what you think

I have buckets of old Stikfas laying around in my basement just collecting dust.

I'm just sayin I wouldn't mind if someone else wanted them to play with.

(hint, hint)
