I thought this thread was just for the 4 inch figures?? Yeah, it was. Superfly, why can't we have a dedicated discussion about the 4" figures? This inevitably will end up being a p***ing contest over Movie Masters Vs Basic Figures.

Yeah, I would've been ok if video gaming stopped there in the 8-bit era. There is very little that comes out now that I HAVE to play. And when I do, it is for very, VERY brief sessions (a half an hour is a gruellingly long time at this point).
BUT,
I pop up a Pac-Man emulator, or find a Centipede machine at the local pizza shop, or plunk a quarter into Asteroids and I will literally play until my eyes bleed and they are forcibly removing my from the machine.
Those games are just MORE FUN. Dude, that's fine. Some people prefer the old ways of doing things, no matter what the subject is - cars, fashion, decorating, sports, toys and (apparently) video games. I played Pac-Man when I was a kid, but I wouldn't give it 30 seconds of my life now. It was quaint - I could see someone passing time playing it on their iPhone or something today. Can't wait for the Green Lantern game, though, and I bet I'll play it through multiple times. I'm blown away by the imagination, the technology and the artistry that goes into today's games. Arkham Asylum, Little Big Planet, the licensed Lego games... Those games are endlessly entertaining to many folks, my family included.

Ok, The movie figures are showing up in Indiana and Ohio. Where else?! Usually , I can always track the slow, arduous truck delivery from Ohio, Indiana to Illinois, then to Wisconsin, then to me. Where are you, funtime? I'm in Tennessee - no sign of the figures here yet. I'll keep y'all posted...

Why does JLU get tons of threads but DICH only got one thread, and now the 4 GL line has to share a thread? Are we short for space? Why not make all the JLU talk in one giant thread? Are we going to one day have a thread that is called "Mattel Figures" and all things must be discussed there?

I'd also add to the list Final Fantasy VII, Starcraft, Warcraft II, Diablo, Civilization III and IV, just about any current Lego Game, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, etc. Not to say the old games don't have their charm. I love Ms. Pac-man, Joust, Galaga, and Dig-Dug, and I will usually play them when I see them.

I'm hoping to get a few of the 4 inch basic singles to keep me occupied until those Guardian 2-packs show up at Walmart. TRU is kinda far from me, but I'll probably check this weekend. My interest is mostly in the 4 inch figure assortment. I do think they warrant their own discussion since they're a very different line. Especially since JLU has one trillion threads or so.

I want to avoid the inevitable arguing, because some of us do enjoy this more simple line. And it helps avoid confusion especially when different characters are coming out from different the different lines. No one wants to see person 1 ask "Hey did anyone find the 4 inch Abin Sur?" And person 2 to reply "Those suck, don't waste your money and just buy MM!" funtime3 wrote: Usually , I can always track the slow, arduous truck delivery from Ohio, Indiana to Illinois, then to Wisconsin, then to me. You find proof that these are available in Illinois (especially in the Chicago area), you need to message me or post it here ASAP! In return I offer you this picture of the very green Oscar The Grouch you can print out and color! http://www.my-coloring-pages.com/images ... ouch-7.gif

Stopped by our TRU today, no luck. And I have a buddy who works there who would probably hook me up if they had the figs in stock, but he wasn't working today. Oh, bother...

Found them today at the Quail Springs TRU in OKC. Looked good but I opted for the MM.

I wonder how strict Mattel is being with the May 1 street date, as in: maybe more stores in more areas have them, but they are honoring the street date by keeping them in back rooms?
