The dwarf and the boogledong are my two favorite characters so far. I can't wait to see what the area around the wall has in store for them.

I absolutely love this show. Another great episode tonight. Quick question. I know the dwarf is the Queen's brother, but isn't the guy she's having an affair with her brother too?

I thought this episode, while still good, was the weakest thus far. I'm sure there'll be payoffs from this week's setups, but not a whole heck of a lot actually happened. Great character development, though. I just want to see the White Walkers in action again.

I've started reading the book and to my surprise, the show is a very near straight translation from page to screen. Each episode is about 8-10 "chapters" in length (the are very short in the book) and it is all progressing in the same setup and at the same pace. Even most of the dialogue is straight from the text. There are some changes (like the sons are much younger in the book, Jon Snow is JUST 14 ...) but its nothing I miss ... for the most part . I'm liking where this is going, and you just know that the Khalisi and "Needle" are going to meet at some point down the road (no that isn't a spoiler just a hunch, I'm purposefully reading about 4 chapters "behind" each episode so I don't spoil anything for myself either)

I'm kinda glad they changed their ages. I had heard Daenerys Targaryen was around 14 as well which makes her nude scenes a little creepy.

I'm glad they changed it for the show, but that's something that was the norm in that era. I'm so glad this is on HBO, because that's almost a guarantee that the show wont lose it's edginess.

As the show progresses and I read along (albeit a few chapters "behind") I am starting to notice some key changes between the book and the show.
MOST of them don't bother me and make sense in the differences of the mediums, however, there are some key pieces of dialogue and interaction that seem to be missing altogether and that is a bit of a disappointment.
I still love the show, but the book is better (not that it wasn't to be expected).
I'm eager to see how Tyrion will get himself out of this mess though and what the payoff will be for him in the end. And I'm starting to fear for Ned. Nothing good will come of his curiosity, that is for certain.

Another solid outing. I have a feeling the bloodshed will start in earnest next week. Can't wait to read the book this summer. I wouldn't trust myself not to read ahead if I had it now.

WOW. Finally got to see this past week's episode. Man, things are hitting the fan all over the place! And the violence! I didn't think I could be shocked anymore, but . . . When "The Mountain" chopped his horse's head off, I gasped. And the ending! Great TV, just great. I gotta start reading those books!

I was in agony Sunday night. My cable went out and I had to wait until Wednesday to watch this weeks episode.
The blood certainly has started to flow freely the past two episodes eh?
I also have to say if Peter Dinklage, as Tyrion Lannister, doesn't get some supporting actor recogintion once award season rolls around then there is no justice in the world of Hollywood.
I also like Aiden Gillen as Petyr Baelish. He's just SO slimey, I love his scenes.

Did anyone sign up for HBO go just so they could see the episode a week early?
I'm tempted. It would be so nice to sit down on Sunday and watch a full 2 hours of new episodes but then what will have to look forward to the following week?
Surprisingly, the book and tv show are still about 85-90% on pace with eachother. Amazing what a well done translation the show is of the source material.
