A perfectly elastic good IMO, while crude oil on the other hand is perfectly inelastic.

I have to agree with you Madbomber on the price issue and I only collect the smaller scale figures, I have never collected the larger scale figures with a few exceptions (however the larger scale figures are long gone which I had collected). I would love to see them reduce the price on the smaller scale figures is it going to happen, I very much doubt it.
But I also think the Larger Scaled figures are way overpriced as well, it's just the toy market in general figure wise has got out of hand for pricing.

I'd like a toyline for this show too. But considering Young Justice and Thundercats are coming out soon, as well as my current commitments to JLU and DC Action League, my wallet thinks it's just as well.

I just started watching this show on DVD so I'm a little late to the discussion, but I would TOTALLY be on board with Hasbro making an animated line based on this series!!

I think they are doing seasons as 1.5 for the rest of the episodes. I have seen the rest of the episodes on youtube. I have no idea what the hold up is. (Just like Wolverine and the X-Men and Batman Brave and the Bold)

New episodes start this Sunday. For those of us with patience, anyway. Oh, and Wolvie and the X-men was cancelled. There will be no second season. Which is too bad because it was a decent show.

I'm late to the Avengers as well. I don't get cartoon network with my cable plan and I couldn't find the episodes online. I'd welcome a toyline if it was done well. I'm not into the current Marvel Universe line at all.

The Marvel Universe figures are by far better than all of the hero based action figure lines out there including JLU. If there was a DC equivalent of the Marvel Universe line, it would be more popular than JLU. I don't think JLU's popularity has much to do with Tim's art as opposed to it's popular collecting size and character variety. While I like Tim's art, I prefer the more orthodox and straightforward style of the Marvel Universe lines. DCIH has the variety but the figures are too tiny and the detail in many of the figures is shoddy particularly the early lines. The DC Universe figures have incredible detail and variety but they are too large and for those of us who grew up collecting 3.75 inch sized figures, it's difficult to deal with the size of those figures.
With regard to the Avengers cartoon, I love the animation and style the characters were drawn. It's much more classic in its portrayal so the action figure line would be amazing.

I would collect a JLU-styled line of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes figures just as voraciously as I did JLU.

To be honest I would like them bring out this series of figures, but just add them to the MU line, in other words anything new (ESPECIALLY the host of Villians which MU is lacking).
Lets see who we would get from this series if they did add to the MU Line, just the new figures, now I may miss someone so if I have please add them to the list.
HEROES: Wasp Ant-Man (At normal height, we have in small size) Maria Hill Clay Quartermain Jimmy Woo Mockingbird Howling Commandos (Especially Dum Dum Dugan) Jasper Sitwell Black Knight Valkyrie The Three Warrirors (Actuallly proper comic versions of these) Sif (Proper comic version) Heimdall (Hey look he ain't black, I would love to get a comic version of him)
MOST WANTED: Baron Von Strucker Abomination (Hell yes please) Baron Zemo Kang The Leader (Always have loved this large headed freak) Grim Reaper Ultimo Dreadnought Mandroid Modoc Technovore Bi-Beast Madman Radioactive Man U-Foes (Vector, Ironclad, Vapor & Xray) Executioner Whirlwind Ymir Man-Ape Madthinker Arnim Zolla Mandrill Graviton Grey Gargoyle A.I.M (Scientist Supreme) ZZZax Blizzard Griifin Red Ghost Female Whiplash Living Laser Chemistro King Cobra Wendigo Purple Man Doughboy Madame Hydra Sentry Malekith Serpent Society (Anaconda, Bushmaster, Death Adder and Rattler) Karnilla Hela Ulik Fenris Terminatrix
SUPPORTING CHARACTERS: Pepper Potts Jarvis Thunderbolt Ross Jane Foster

The Avenger's EMH cartoon is part of the reason I've gotten more and more into the MU line. I just picked up one of the Comic Series Captain America figures. I can't remember the name but he's a pretty basic cap with a rocket launcher. I'm using him as my default Cap on my bookshelf since I didn't like any of the MU ones. I have most of the comic series Iron Man figures and I'm using the classic one on my shelf alongside Cap. I'm a bigger fan of the modern Thor uniform so I picked up the single pack of the MU Thor. Then I've added the comic pack Hawkeye, Yellow Jacket, Black Panther, and Black Widow. Hope they reissue Vision and they do a Scarlet Witch and Wasp. With the comic pack of Quicksilver and Wonder Man that'll probably be it for my classic Avengers team. And if they ever do a classic Hulk that looks good. (although I'm tempted by that Planet Hulk figure. Nice !)
