Well, today was the debut of the Phoenix Toy Show. Its to be a weekly show bringing as many toy vendors together as our little city can muster. I think it was a pretty good start today. Anywho, I picked up these guys for 2 bucks. Not sure what they are from, but am imagining that there are some more characters. Anyone know?

Damn I wish we had something like that in my neck of the woods, unfortunately I live in the arse end of America where nothing happens unless it's church related.
So nice hall, and it's the muppets for 2 bucks you can't go wrong, I would say there is at least a Kermit that goes with that set. As for what set this is and who else is in it I have no idea, and they look all very Minty.

It just didn't dawn on me that these were fast food toys. They're pretty darn good. So, the Toy Show . . . my first reaction was: "Wow, good turnout." The room was full with vendors and there was a steady stream of shoppers. Pretty good split of action figures and diecast. Speaking with some of the vendors it seems like there will be a rotation of stuff to see from week to week. A number said they wouldn't be there every week. But I'm thinking that because the tables are reasonable ($35 bucks, I think) I can see even more casual collectors who need to unload stuff using this venue. The room could use some sprucing up and maybe do something to reduce the obvious clutter. But it is a toy show. Glad to have it and wishing it the best!

Here's the stuff I scored! For the most part, I liked the show. The only issues is that I wish it was a little bigger. By that I mean a bigger building. I got a little crowded. Some tables took me about 3 passes to be able to see what they had. Hopefully if it does really well, which I think it will, they will be able to get a better place to have these! Oh, and Dan, I have the other Muppets you're missing if you want them...

Maybe...
I'm going to the Cake show at the Mesa Amphitheatre on Friday night, so I'll be in town since we're spending the night.
I might be able to talk the wife in to going again!
Shoot me your address so I can send out those Muppets tomorrow!

If you're going to the show Saturday, I could just meet you there. That way you don't have to go through the trouble of shipping. I'll probably stop by between 10 - 11:30.
Cake show should be fun! Enjoy it!
