Need some opinions. What would be a good price to pay for the Iron Man 2 wave 4 Mandarin? It is one of the few figures from this line that I want. Will this figure in time be available through regular means?(at the store) Would it be best to "bite the bullet" and pay the $30+ price it is going for now? Thoughts appreciated

I went the eBay route because I was tired of waiting for them to hit. Cost me $40 shipped. If you can get one for $30, I say go for it.

As much as I detest doing it, I might have to order from BBTS. I've entirely given up ever seeing those on retail shelves.

I'd like to have a Mandarin, but I don't care about a single other figure from that $50 pack ($59 with shipping). I'd have to eBay the other three, and unless I could get $15 each for them before shipping on eBay, it wouldn't be worth it.

I saw this wave with Madarin in droves out in the sticks of my state one time and one time only. It was western MA, they tend to get good Hasbro stuff cause they are close to RI which I believe has a warehouse. Wish I had bought all like 40 I saw lol

Eric I am in the same boat as you, I would love a Mandarin figure, however I just cant justify spending 30.00 dollars on any figures, and buying him in a set would mean I would have to try to get rid of the others for a profit, to recoup my loss.
Oh well unless I can trade for one then I guess I am not getting one.

Trust me, if ol' Mandy wasn't the arch-enemy of my favorite hero of all time, I wouldn't have spent the money either. He just might end up one of my few MOC toys. But probably not.

Wouldn't it be funny if a ton of Mandarins show up in the discount stores in a few months?

I actually am surprised more IM toys didn't end up in off-price stores. I found a few at Kohls; the wave with the Weapon Assault drone, another impossible find in my area. But that was a couple waves back.

I found the drones at Kohl's too, those Kohl's is the opposite of a discount store and they cost $11 each there.
Seriously though, does anyone think more of these figures will ever be shipped to retail stores? I am considering buying from BBTS too, but am not quite sure.

One never knows for sure, but . . . we're almost at July and the movie is 14 months old. Plus Hasbro has already started its replacement line of Iron Man: Armored Avenger (plentiful in online retailers, but not in brick and mortar as of yet). So I'd say probably not. Less than a 10% chance IMO. But who knows . . .

Not to mention- it is Hasbro-- unless you are a carded guy Im sure he will pop up again at some point...(with probably a slight variation), in some other multipack- or at some point when Iron Man 3 hits the shelves..
Plus never doubt the discount stores (like Ross, Marshalls, TJMaxx, Tuesday Morning, Big Lots, Ollies etc..-- unlike Mattel there are very few items that they dont produce in the same quantities-- but just like Mattel they usually ended up diverted to some of these stores at the end of the lines-- (Mighty Muggs, titaniums, the Lost Joe Waves etc..)..
