Hey guys quick question. How do you dedust your figures? I usually jet use a wet rag with water but I'm starting to think maybe this could cause paint wear over time. Thanks in advance.

I use one of those compressed air cans you use to clean computers.

I do it from a distance and in short bursts so I don't knock EVERYTHING over.

I believe the word is simply "dust", a de prefix is not necessary.

Either compressed air or this rouge makeup brush someone gave me (yes, that someone gave me, ok?)

If I get like vintage figures from eBay I'll wash them in the sink with dish detergent. I don't think wiping your figs with a damp cloth will cause any problems. Most figure paint is pretty hearty.

I dust my figures off with a cloth rag.

Are you really worried about that????

What is this CLEAN you speak of... Ive never really had a problem with dust in my toy rooms-- however--there is a chance if my shelves ever collapse-- it will be due to the weight of the dust that has acculmulated in 5 or more years..(the time between all my recent moves- or revamps of the collection room..


Personally Ive notice the things that actually get dusty -- are lego models and cloth accessories (well that and my wifes barbies hair--) never really noticed it on my figs.

This reminds my I'm overdue on cleaning my displays.

Anyways, I use those Grab-It dry cloths.

If I need to clean a figure use some warm water, tiny bit of dish degertent and an old toothbrush.

I got a really dirty Toad Air Marahall and I cleaned him using this meathod and he looks great!

I've found 'playing' with your figures helps. Least that's the excuse I give the wife for my I always mess with my figures. I like to display them and take pictures. Which is why I'm big on playsets and enviroments. But I have found this decreases the amount of dust which collects on figures... and lemme tell you... dusting a Dalek... sucks... let alone over 30 of them!
