Is there any vintage toyline that a lot of people collect, but that you don't really like?
If so, which line is it, and why don't you particularly care for it?

Hotwheels. Years of running a toy store made me hate most of the collectors which in turn made me hate the toy line.

Superpowers. Never got it in the 80's and don't appreciate it wasting slots in the much superior DCUC line (I'm looking especially at lame characters like Cyclotron, etc.). It also annoys me when people complain about how the DCUC characters don't follow the Superpowers color schemes. Superpowers was cheesy, especially with the lame action features. About the only thing it had going for it was spectacular card art and a nice logo. IMHO, of course (don't kill me, Chip! ). He-man to a lesser degree. I thought the 200x version was superior to anything from the 80's line, and I feel that the MOTUC take is in some regards a step backwards for the property. If we could have had the articulation of the MOTUC based on the 200x mythos . . .that would have been something. That's about it. There are other lines that I'm indifferent about (Voltron, Ghostbusters, Megos, Micronauts), but plenty of lines I love (Star Wars, GIJOE, Transformers, Thundercats, for starters).

Ghostbusters. I just don't see the appeal. Everything else was awesome! Super Powers = Best toy line of all time!

Have to go with MEGO-- I mean I dont understand the appeal at all of that line-- bad sculpting, they look cheap and are pretty much pure dolls..
As far as SUperpowers- they were a fine toy line at the time-- but everything out now is superior to what was out then (I had a bunch so I can compare)-- just dont get the appeal of it-- and if a toy company did today what they did then (like making up their own characters)---they would be destroyed on the fanboards-- but its in the past-- so we like it-- dont get that at all..
I feel the same about Star Wars-- I had almost everything when I was a kid-- and then I dumped all the vintage stuff (well except for a few things like the Rebel Transport, Vintage Sy, and the Ewok Cartoon figs) as it was redone in the modern line- which is superior in every way shape and form to the toys that came out during the good ole days.. Although I will admit the Ewok Tree Fort is still one of the most awesome playsets ever...

I'm going to have to say:
He-Man and GI Joe.
Its not that they were bad toy lines, but they were my brother's toy lines. Not mine. I had Super Powers, Star Wars, and Transformers.
We played together and mixed and matched our figures for battles and whatnot, but I didn't ever have any connection to those figures or characters.

Definitely He-Man. I never understood the appeal of it even when I was a kid and friends were buying the toys. Didn't care for the cartoon either. It sickens me to no end that there's such a massive following for it now, which seems to be influencing Mattel's marketing/distribution strategies for their other toylines for no logical reason (ie. JLU).

I am going to have to go with He-Man, Vintage G.I. Joe (Village People), She-Ra, Lego (I never really got into it, I know it's one of the best selling toys ever, but I just never got into it).

LEGO? Wow. That's like 10% of my childhood right there! Best toy ever created. Bar none.

Never got into GI Joe. I played with my friends GI Joe, but I was more into Transformers and MOTU. To me, the GI Joe figures were a little too similar looking, unless you were really into them and knew all the characters names. Also, the line was just so huge. I know some people love them, but they just never did much for me. I loved MOTU because the figures were so drastically different and each had action features (just wish they made more of them), and transformers, well, transformed. I never got into Ghostbusters either, but they were a bit ahead of my time....(oh, and MASK, I don't even remember that as a kid. They just don't do appeal to me.) I'd kinda like a GI Joe collection nowadays, but I already collect too much to start a new line, especially a huge one like that....

I forgot my least favorite line of all time (out of any big, popular ones)=Power Rangers. They do nothing for me at all. I mean, they're past my time, but I can't see the appeal at all. The show was silly too IMO. Oh, and I was never into Voltron.

I was in the early years of college when the show started to air here in America. My cousins were 4 and 6 and HEAVILY into the Power Ranger phenomenon. My buddy and I would hit every toy store between Rochester and Cleveland looking for that first wave of figures so I could be the hero at Christmas. We eventually scored a Red and Blue ranger for the boys!
But, the best memory I have of the Rangers was sitting down with my cousins one weekend and watching a marathon of episodes and absolutely falling in love with Amy Jo Johnson, the Pink Ranger. I even took them to the Movie just so I could see more of her.
Ah ... memories....
