The nice thing here though, is that it's a toyline with a storyline.
Not just what is essentially a art sculpture in vinyl.
With the mass market you basically only have big licensed toylines now. Gone are the smaller toys as toys lines of the 80's and early 90's.
In fact, Panosh Place's Dinosaur line coming to Target is one of the few new in house lines.
That's what makes the Horsemen's line so interesting. It's a classic in house toyline concept but taking the direct market and using collector oriented materials and tooling (roto, coldcast and diecast.)
The toys as art, urban vinyl movement is nearing it's peak I think as it's really pricey and only caters to a certain market.
I think Magma C.O.R.P.S has the potential to expand slightly, being collector oriented, but more toward toy fans (as the 4H are) and not so much hip hop, urban culture fans.
