Since DC is really pushing Hal and Barry down our throats, and leaving Wally with practically nothing to do, I was thinking about how cool it would be to see Wally, Kyle and Nightwing form their own team of heroes. Possibly including, Tempest, Raven, Beast Boy and Starfire as well. So would you read this book? Any other ideas about it? DISCUSS!

With one requirement. That they do not call it JLA and stop publishing a team book with Superman, Batman, and Green Lantern in it.

Call it Titans, like it should be.

I would. I always loved the old Titans books, second to JSA for me. There's a reason it sold more copies than X-Men at one point. With the correct writer and artist, well it won't sell more than X-Men, but it could be a flagship book once again.

You missed my point. I thought it was obvious. I've written blogs about it. The book DC is currently publishing titled "JLA", is in fact Titans and Infinify Inc. The JLA itself has been pushed out of its own book. (The Titans were also pushed out of their own book, but that is another story.)

Yes, I would buy this book. But not if it means the current status quo of no book for the core classic JLA itself. That is why your proposed book should be called "Titans" and be cast as I suggested above. This book needs to be in addition to the JLA.

Oh I read your original statement wrong. I would want both books to be going as well. They might as well give them something to do.

When they did it this last time (before the whole crappy JLA thing) with the Titans book, people complained that it had already been done, and it was time for the characters to move on.

I don't necessarily agree with that sentiment, but it seems like this is a really unpopular idea overall.

I don't understand that, because in the new DC, Wally and Kyle don't seem to have much to do if anything. Maybe Kyle does but I haven't heard anything about Wally.

Wally, according to Didio, is "resting". Just like the JSA.

They feel that since they have "younged down" the rest of the heroes, it would be a bit too paradoxical to have Wally running around with a wife and children, making him almost the same age as, or older than, the "new" Barry Flash.

Since they aren't creative enough (smart enough?) to figure out how to make a character that can time travel work in that restriction, they just aren't including him at all.

I've just about completely given up reading comics and this sort of stuff confirms the validity of my decision.

I hope DC has great success with this "new" approach, but seeing as the vast majority of comic readers are older and there are very limited outlets for comics these days, I don't really understand how this will attract "new" readers.
